I see a lot of people doing 'outfit of the day' posts, or OOTD, and realised that I have never done one. I've noticed that my blog has focused on beauty a lot lately so I thought i'd show you all my most recent outfit. I wore this on Saturday night to one of my best friends birthday parties, it was in her garden and finally, we had a sunny day so I decided I'd put on the maxi dress that I'd bought earlier in the day. It did get very chilly in the night so I put my trusty leather jacket from Zara on. It's collarless so I think it goes really nice with 'going out outfits'. Usually a maxi dress, especially a striped and floaty one would be a bit too casual for a birthday party, but because it was in the garden, it was sunny and i'd teamed it with a leather jacket I think it made it look a bit more night time ish. I also think the backless design of this dress helps. As you can see, the dress is black and white, thick stripes. It is low cut at the front and ties around the neck with a sort of rope detail. I love how far it drapes down the back, I wore a stick on bra with it which I bought from Ebay for £5.00. The dress is from... wait for it. The sale section at Primark, any guesses how much it cost? £5.00, I am serious, this dress cost me £5.00! So I bought it in two different colours as well, I also got it in grey and a pastel coloured version as well. I couldn't believe it when it cost me £5.00! It was half price, reduced from £10.00. I always wear maxis with sandals, but I wanted to make an effort so I teamed this with my glitter wedges from Prague, these were £25.00 and my clutch from Dorothy Perkins which was £10.00 in the sale.
I never really wear backless dresses but think they can look really classy so was very impressed with this dress, you can't go wrong for £5.00 can you? It could be worn with so much as well, on a beach, on a night out, for a posh meal, at birthdays, at a wedding. I do think this is very versatile! Go get one now!!!
