Hello my loveliess, yaaay a make up related post after all the Christmas mayhem. I don't know about you, but I actually can't wait to get back to normality. I'm getting bored of left over fatty food and mess now. I spring cleaned my whole bedroom last night because I just want to start fresh in the new year - I have two bin bags full which have gone in the bin and another two for the charity shop. I feel so relieved that i've got rid of all of my unnecessary junk. I also cleaned out my cosmetics and toiletries, I literally have too much stuff and most of it is from years ago, so I decided to be ruthless and just chuck most of it in the bin (most of it has gone disgusting anyway!). I thought i'd do this post to showcase my favourite items throughout 2012, the items which I have used the most and the things that I just can't get enough of. I hope you enjoy it.
1 - NARS orgasm blush (far left). I bought this after seeing loads of amazing reviews on it, I actually hardly wear bronzer anymore after buying this product, it contains the most beautiful gold pigments anyway, so it's so much more than a blush, I find it perfectly highlighting if you want to do your make up like Kim Kardashian, yeah that look that I am oh so obsessed with.
2 - MAC MATTE BRONZE BRONZER - Aah but when I do use a bronzer, I have been reaching for this one all year. I went to MAC and asked them to recommend me a bronzer that won't go grey and dirty on my cheeks, and this one does the trick. Yes it looks scary, but it isn't at all once it's on the face.
3 - SLEEK blushers - I only recently got these but I've worn them every day since, the reason I have included them is because they are the perfect dupe/copy of Nars orgasm blush. However, I choose to blend all three colours together for a nice coral look, I am obsessed with the orange/coral blusher on the far left of the palette. This item is an absolute steal.
4 - DIOR FOREVER SKIN foundation - aaahhh my favourite foundation of all time. I bought this a few months ago and nearly cried when I had to go back to wearing my Mac foundation, it makes my Mac foundation look dirty and too dark, whilst this Dior foundation gives the perfect finish, it really does make your skin look immaculate.
5- Myth lipstick by MAC - Another Mac product, easily my fave make up brand as you can probably tell, this lipstick has been in my life for much longer than a year, i think i've probably spent thousands on it by now. But, this lipstick is heaven in a tube. It gives the most amazing nude finish and I feel naked without it, I wear it every day without fail.
6 - MAC studio fix concealer - This concealer is the third one i've had this year, it does actually last quite long, I just put loads on as it's really thick so I like to use it to contour and correct bad pigments. I apply this every day using a Bobbi Brown concealer brush on my pimples and then pop my foundation over the top.
7 - YSL touche éclat - Aaah I only got this recently but it would be rude not to feature this product when it is as amazing as it is. Say goodbye to bad face days and puffy eyes, this de-puffs everything bad about your face. It is perfect again for those of you that want to copy Kim Kardashian's make up style.
8 - MAC mineralize powder in medium/dark - I have been putting this on top of my foundation for as long as I can remember. I wear it every day without fail and it just makes your make up set perfectly and gets rid of shine. It's no use having an amazing foundation if you're not going to couple it with an equally good powder. I don't think i'll ever stop using this.
9 - Clarins Wonder Perfect Mascara - I just love this gold wand for luxuriously long, separated eye lashes. I always make sure I put number 10 of this list - Mac zoom lash mascara over the top though, to give it that dramatic finish as this MAC mascara is a lot darker and wetter than the Clarins mascara. Together, they are the dream team for the most perfect eye lashes.
11 - Japonesque make up brushes - These beautiful animal print brushes have thoroughly been used throughout this year. They feel so soft and look so pretty in my make up bag.
