Urban Decay NAKED BASICS palette review

Yipeeee, hello everyone! Sooo, the other day I got the Naked Basics palette from Urban Decay! Now, i'm not even good at applying eye shadow but I've kind of taught myself after watching my Kim Kardashian YouTube video over and over again and watching how the make up artist applied the make up to my eyes. This palette is perfect for someone like me, who wants to have my eye make up done but I'm not good enough at applying it myself or very daring when it comes to colours. The colours in this palette are perfect for anyone and like their naked palettes usually are, you get such a good mixture of colours.  I started by applying the colour Foxy all over the lid and then I put the colour Crave on the outer edges of the eye and blended it in. I then used Venus right on the inner edge of my eye as i've read that a light colour near the tear duct really widens the eyes and gives you a bushy wide awake look.

This palette is perfect for me as I have dark brown eyes and i've been told by numerous make up artists that brown colours will go best with my eyes. Urban Decay describe this palette as their 'first MATTE palette, featuring six gorgeously Naked neutrals to build on or wear alone—including four never-before-seen shades.' They are really easy to build on and this is coming from me, a complete novice in the eye make up area. I've been wearing this every day now since I got it and I absolutely love it, I like that you can use this palette to create a sultry and smokey eye, but you can also play it down, and create a sophisticated day time look with it. Urban Decay, is there no stopping them?!

This palette is only £20.00 which I think is really cheap for such a good and versatile palette from such a highly regarded brand when it comes to eye make up. My favourite colour is 100% 'venus' it has the most gorgeous shimmer to it. Each of these colours work out at £3.30 each, which is so cheap. Especially when you think that most eye shadows of this size individually cost at least £15+ from a good brand. If you want to see the video that i've been watching to do a smokey eye look you can watch it below and copy how the make up artist does my eyes. I used Urban Decay's vice palette below:
