Hey everyone, so today I decided I need to get back on form with my beauty reviews (hooray). I have so much stuff to review but Uni work is drowning me at the moment AND i'm going to Paris this weekend, typical girl, I haven't even got my Euros yet or even thought about what i'm going to wear. Oops. But, who cares because I'm a lucky owner of the World Famous Neutrals palette by Benefit. This is one of the prizes that I won for answering some questions at their bloggers event, and I am beyond impressed with this product (it's the new Urban Decay Naked Palette - but in box form). Do read on...
Benefit describe this as their easiest nudes ever. This cute little box (I love how Benefit make all of their products so travel friendly) includes soft, flattering eye shadows. For every person. Everyone wants that 'make up but not much make up' look and this is definitely the way to get this look. The eye shadows are long wearing, and if you pop a primer underneath them the colour pops out so well. This kit includes four powders, which are actually similar to Urban Decays Naked Palette but also, it includes two (incredible) creaseless cream shadows. The neutral colours in this palette are designed to blend and layer effortlessly, and as Benefit say, in order to give 'your eyes that exude understated glamour'. This Summer, neutral is in. I so prefer the neutral look. What I love about this palette is that Benefit rave about the shades being flattering for all skin tones. So you really have no excuse not to buy it.
Benefit being the lovely creative ladies that they are, they like to make beauty simple, so they even include a tips and tricks book alongside a built in mirror. The guide tells you how to create a variety of looks including a subtle day time look and a more sultry evening look. These tips and tricks are so easy to follow and are literally 3 steps long, so even people who are rubbish with eye shadows like me, can now have beautiful eyes. I do think this is the perfect starter kit for any eye shadow newbie. Or, the perfect addition to any eye shadow lovers kit - in fact, they're highly necessary, these are essential items and the base for nice neutral eyes. I love that by including darker colours in this palette, it allows you to build on the look and go from 'day to night'.
The two cream shadows, R.S.V.P and No Pressure! are my favourite shades, because they're cream based, they glisten to perfectly on the eye lid. I've never even used cream shadows before but these have got to be my new favourite eye shadows of all time. Below you can see the colours:
I can't wait to try these out on my eyes and really play around with the colours as soon as my essays are all finito! This item is only £23.50 which I think is really reasonable considering you get 6 colours which are unlikely to run out quickly and a tips and tricks book. Hooray and cheers to Benefit for making beauty effortless. We love you!
Have you used these products before? What do you think of the colours?
Lots of love, Em x
