I'm on such a Summer/skin care hype recently and just like the InTransit Primer, I have featured
this in a lot of posts lately but I feel that it needs an individual review
because I want to tell you all about it. BB creams have been on the market for a long
time but it’s really difficult to know which one to buy for your skin type. I used
to think that wearing a BB cream meant that your whole face would be on show
and I didn’t used to be confident in my skin, so I liked to put concealer and
foundation on to cover my imperfections. Clarins Skin Perfecting BB Cream has
changed this forever, it’s completely changed my opinion of BB creams, read on
to see why and how...

Firstly the packaging, it’s lightweight and
easy to carry around. It’s standard Clarins, red. I do actually like it, it’s
quite sleek looking. It’s not got the Chanel factor and definitely doesn’t have the
Burberry factor, but it looks good in a Clarins kinda way.
I fell in love as soon as I applied this to
my face. It comes out like foundation, but it’s super duper moisturising. It’s
like applying a light weight moisturiser and treatment to your face that looks
like moisturiser. Whats not to love? The colour, I got shade light, is perfect
for me. For a light shade it’s actually really quite dark.
I use my Real Techniques blending brush to
really blend this in along the cheeks and nose so that there is only a light
coverage in the areas that I want to tan, it gives such a flawless but natural finish.
Because of its moisturising properties it
really does make your skin look radiant, you do glow a lot. If you don’t like
this you can put powder over the top, I tend not to depending on what kind of
look I’m going for.
In terms of staying power, it may just be
my skin but at the end of the day this does kind of fall of the face, which
isn’t that good, maybe its because its quite an oily base. You could always use this as a primer so
that your skin is being fixed underneath your foundation if you don’t dare to
bare, but it does have really good buildable coverage.
Overall, I love this product. It is
insanely good, thank you to Escentual for sending this my way quite a while ago and introducing
me to such an incredible product which I will buy over and over again.
Do you use BB creams? What are your
thoughts on this? PS. Keep checking back for my battle of the BB cream post
where I will compare lots of BB creams in one post for you, then you can choose
which one is best for you.
Lots of love, Em x
