The Best Summer Hair Products

We all try get our bodies in shape for Summer, but what about our hair? Our hair has to face the elements every single day and everyone knows that too much sun can be harmful and drying for the hair. So I've chosen some of my favourite products to achieve shiny, bright and textured hair this Summer...

John Frieda, Sheer Blonde | Bumble and Bumble, Surf | Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment | Hair bands from Beauty Works | TommyGuns Colour Protect | Bumble and Bumble Shine and Surf Spray.

John Frieda Sheer Blonde, Everlasting Blonde Shampoo. I have always been a fan of John Frieda, it isn't too expensive but it's priced right so you know that it is still a good product. It's always a good idea to buy it from Boots because it's usually on a three for two offer, so you can get two shampoos and your conditioner for free. I'm a massive fan of John Frieda purple shampoo and that's what I used to get my hair bright white. I'm going for more of a highlighted blonde look lately and this really did bring the colour out in my hair. Seriously, after one wash, I noticed that my hair was shinier and brighter and so much more manageable. It just feels fresh after using this. This is perfect for Summer as the sun tends to damage your hair but this just helps to restore your colour. Keep and eye out because I've got 10 of these to give away very shortly. If you don't have blonde hair make sure you check out their products for brunettes.

Above, you can see my hair is just brighter and more highlighted on the bleached areas such as the sides of my fringe. The 'white blonde/bleached' parts really stand out so much more after using this.

Tommy Guns Bergamot and Inula Shampoo and Conditioner. I use these after I've been to aqua aerobics usually, what I love about them is that they don't just restore your colour (believe me, they do, my hair looks illuminated after one wash) but they also have really good ingredients in them so they strengthen your hair as well. I love products that multitask, although that can sometimes mean they're not so good at both things but TommyGuns manages to multitask like a woman; perfectly. Also, how gorgeous do they look? I want a shelf full of these to brighten up my bathroom.

Bumble and Bumble Surf Foam Wash and Creme Rinse Shampoo and Conditioner. I really love these products, firstly the bottles. They have well and truly brought my bathroom alive. I also love how they're called 'Surf' I think it proves what a really cool and on-trend brand Bumble and Bumble is. These are perfect for Summer waves or holiday hair as me and my Mum like to call it. My hair always goes frizzy on holiday because of the humidity, well these will turn that frizz into a really nice bouncy texture. I washed my hair last night with these and just left it to dry naturally, I love the texture of it and haven't actually touched my hair all day. Even if you're not going abroad this year, these are great to use when you know it's going to be sunny at home, you can get into the Summer spirit and have yummy wavy hair. They give your hair such nice texture that you can give it a break from the heat of hair straighteners and hopefully make it grow by not damaging it as much.

Bumble And Bumble Shine On Finishing Spray and Surf Spray. Recently I've raved about the Bumble and Bumble surf Spray so much, because it really is that good. Bad hair day? Spritz some of this on and say hello to your new yummy beachy hair. Everyone wants that beachy look this Summer so I really would recommend this, plus it's so perfect to fit in your bag. I tend to keep spraying it throughout the day and then play with my hair to get it into the shape that I want. The Bumble and Bumble shine spray, like their other products, is also amazing. Most shine sprays just make your hair look greasy, so I was worried that this would happen, but it really doesn't make it shiny, it just adds a little hint of shine which is really nice, especially for Summer. I felt like the luckiest girl ever when I was given these little cuties.

Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment. Like all Macadamia products (my favourite products of all time when it comes to hair care) this is an absolute hero. This is the Queen of hair care. It speeds up drying time and it makes your hair look and feel insane. It's like a super serum for your hair. Perfect if you've damaged your hair from too much sun bathing or too much heat from hair straighteners. If you're on holiday a really good tip is to leave this on your hair as an intense mask, the heat from the sun will make the mask work so much better on your hair. You could also sleep in this and then wash it off in the morning or if you're in a rush, just pop it onto towel dried hair before blow drying. You put a face mask on your skin so why not put a hair mask on and give your hair a treat?

Hair Braids by BeautyWorks. You'll all know how much I love BeautyWorks, I have them to thank for my long, shiny and smooth hair. If you're going to a festival or if you just want to look pretty, here are a few, of many styles that they do. I love the one with flowers on for the festival look. You can also use them as hair bobbles to make a sleek pony tail look that bit sexier.

What are your top rated products? What hair products will you be using this Summer? Have you used any of the ones above? Do let me know :)

  24. have coloured, slightly dry hair and that i have had success with cyst. I will move two days while not laundry (short length) and even longer between washes once my hair was long. I particularly love that i do not have a 2 step method of shampoo & conditioner. you are doing ought to get your hair terribly wet -- I mean SOAKING -- before you're employed within the product. And once removal, you'll use a little bit as a leave on for the ends, that helps with condition. On a separate note, i'm continually jealous of the raise and body at the crown of your head! I even have been attempting to urge my hands on Aquage rising foam for over a year. No salons in my neighborhood sell it, and my stylist will not facilitate Pine Tree State go :(. i would simply ought to arrange a visit "over-the-hill" into a flowery metropolis salon to search out it. Your journal is maybe one in every of my fav blogs ever (yours & the Pioneer lady area unit my favs!). i like that you simply area unit appear thus earthy and approachable, and your vogue is thus elegant and female. Please continue the good work.
