When it comes to fashion, I've always played it safe, but recently, I've started branching out a bit more. I'd like to thank Pinterest for that. I'm forever finding style inspiration on there and whilst I don't really write a fashion blog as such, girls who like beauty usually like clothes, so when Dorothy Perkins approached me to give me the low down on their latest range, I knew that I had to let you all know about it. I'm not going to lie and say that I used to shop at Dorothy Perkins, before this, I'd only entered a store so that I could check out Kim Kardashian's clothing range. I've always been very main stream when it comes to clothes and just gone to Topshop and Zara. Recently though, I've been searching for some new fashion shops and I was very impressed with what I came across in Dorothy Perkins...
Above explains the essentials range better than I ever could.
Dorothy Perkins Style Essentials range is perfect for people who want to dress and look nice, without breaking the bank. You can work them into every trend to suit your personality and shape. I couldn't believe how cheap it was but for such good quality clothes. My favourite items are the fit and flare dress at £20.00, the biker leather jacket at £46.00 and the pencil skirt at £18.00. At prices like these, they really are doing the right thing because I personally find that other high street stores prices are extortionate nowadays.
I was lucky enough to recieve one item from the Style Essentials collection. I chose the leather biker jacket, priced at only £46.00 I had to check the price tag quite a few times, to say it's such a nice, soft leather jacket, I really can't fault it in anyway, the price point is perfect. I styled it with a Topshop crop top, Miss Selfridge high waisted patterend trousers and Garage cut out boots. This is something which you could wear on a night out.
I then styled this versatile jacket with a classic skort, this one is from Ebay, buy it now for only £3.00. I also put it with a batwing black top from All Saints. I think the skort is my favourite thing to wear with this leather. My final look consisted of the leather biker, All Saints black skinnys and a Dorothy Perkins jumper. When I went into the store, I saw so much stuff that I liked that I had to buy the jumper too. It'll be perfect for chilly weekends in the city. This was only £20.00 and I used my student discount too so it worked out pretty cheap. Please excuse my horrendous poses, I think I'll stick to beauty blogging.
All in all, I'm really impressed with Dorothy Perkins as a store, I will now be shopping there more often. Next, I want to get my hands on the camel tartan pencil skirt, a fit and flare dress and their fur jumpers.
