I’ve become a little bit obsessed with
writing monthly make up bag blog posts, I love reading other peoples so I thought I'd start writing my own. I love sharing with you what’s in my
make up bag as I do switch it up on a monthly basis, I seem to change my foundation every month and there's always a new lipstick that I'm loving. Let’s see what won my
heart over this month and what hasn’t so much…
Make Up Bag – I
was lucky to receive this at a Smashbox event and it’s been a staple in my life throughout
Summer as I’ve been travelling lots. I love transparent bags because it’s more than
useful to be able to see what’s inside my bag, there is so much room in it too, so I tend to ram it full to the brim of beauty goodies. I think it looks gorgeous in my bag too. I love simple things.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Highlighting Powder –
I’ve been on holiday recently so I’ve wanted to keep up with my glow. I’ve been loving Rouge Bunny Rouge’s
highlighting powder which I was lucky enough to receive at the Herts Bloggers
Meet up. It isn’t too dark and it just gives me a nice shimmer on the face. I’ve
been putting this on my nose as well to emphasise my natural tan further.
Mac Skin Finish Natural Powder - I finally re-bought this, yipee. I think it's gone up in price, this month it was £22, I'm sure back in the day it was £18.00! I do run out of this quite quickly but I must have bought over 100 of them as it's the best powder I've ever come across in my life, they need to bring out a super-sized version. Mac's Mineralize Skin Finish Natural powder is warm, natural and keeps shine away all day. I think I'll use this powder for eternity. I love it.
Clinique Perfectly Real Foundation – The
first skin care products and make up that I ever used were from Clinique, I
have always been a huge fan of the brand and recently got back into Clinique. I
am loving their Perfectly Real Foundation this month for a natural and flawless
base, you only need to apply the tiniest bit to your skin and it gives a great medium matte coverage. With it being Clinique, I’m not worried about putting it on my skin
as I know that it's not going to be as damaging as some make up can be. I've recently got my skin back on track by using a few cheap and simple skincare items.
Clinique Primer – I was lucky enough to
try out Clinique's new Universal Primer (thank you so much Clinique!) I am absolutely loving it this month.
It completely smooths my face for make up application and leaves me glowing all
day underneath my make up. A lot of people have complimented my skin this month
and I’m sure it’s down to wearing this product every day underneath my
foundation, it makes me look radiant and my make up literally doesn't budge, why didn't I go back to Clinique sooner?

L'oreal Telescopic Mascara - I have bought this quite a few times but re-bought
it this week after seeing that L'oreal
had a special offer on, buy one product get another one half price. I could not believe how long this made my lashes, going away from it and then using it again really did prove just how good this product is, it actually makes my lashes too long. I do love Benefit's They're Real mascara and have been using that recently, hence why I've only just re-bought
this, the major difference is that L'oreal
Telescopic seems wetter on the lashes, which makes the lashes much darker. When I wear Benefit's They're Real I feel like I need to put another mascara on top to make my lashes blacker, with this you don't need to do that.
MAC Nude Pink Lipstick – Ever since
seeing the beautiful Georgia Salpa instagram a photograph of her wearing a
pinky/nude lipstick, I knew that I needed to get back into wearing my nudes.
Recently, I’ve been going for a darker lip, but this month, I’ve been wearing
MAC's Cream Cup which is a beautiful nude shade, with a hint of pink. It isn’t a matte
finish, instead, it’s nice and shiny which makes my lips look bigger. I have always sworn by Myth lipstick by
MAC, but recently, decided that it was a bit too cold for me, so instead, have
moved onto this one which has a little bit more colour in it.
What products are in your make up bag this month? Are there any products that never leave your make up bag? Have you tried any of these products? Do you like the sound of them and would like to try them? Lots of love, Em x
