Pho Food Review Launch Party: Trinity Kitchen

When an invite landed in my inbox to the launch party of a quirky new Vietnamese restaurant right on my door step, I knew that I had to attend. Pho has finally landed in Leeds, after much success in London. Trinity Kitchen recently opened in the new Trinity Leeds shopping centre and this is just one of the incredible street food vendors inside. It's time to make your stomach rumble...

We had deep fat fried rolls to start and they were just incredible, well worth the calories.

The super healthy ones were pretty good too, not as good as the deep fat fried ones but of course they wouldn't be, fatty foods nearly always taste better.

Me, Mum and my brother nibbled away and we were almost full after just a few spring rolls - they really are pretty filling.

The decor in Trinity Kitchen is very 'on-trend',think shabby/city chic, unfinished, modern - my kind of decor. Trinity Kitchen brings street food to Leeds in a quirky kind of way as you can see, it's like an upper class kind of take away. Trinity Kitchen is all about street food.

Next up, my favourite: fried squid. I can't explain how good this tasted, I'll definitely be back for more.

They also sell some pretty cool beers if you're wanting to take a special guy along with you.

The menu is extensive, I didn't really know what to choose for my main. I went for chicken and prawn Wok Fried Noodles after much deliberation.

We waited only minutes for our mains and whilst we waited, I slurped on my drink; a delicious blend of apple and ice, I don't know if it was healthy, but it sure tasted healthy, possibly one of the most delicious drinks I've ever had (and non-alcoholic too).

The mains arrived.

Complete with our own tray of herbs to add to the meal.

They were all delicious. My brother went for the steak and noodle soup which he said was incredible.

I ate mine so quickly. It was nutritious, delicious and filling. Way better than grabbing a Dominos pizza.

Mum enjoyed hers too. You get such big portions for a good price (around £5.00).

The restaurant got busier as the night went on...

The kitchen was busy all night, everyone clearly loved the food.

Thank you to Pho for inviting me to the launch party, I will be returning as I need some more fried squid. Make sure you check out their website to see if there's one near you, phocafe.co.uk. I love the whole idea of Trinity Kitchen and can't wait to try out some more incredible street food.

Have you ever had 'street food' before? Have you eaten Vietnamese food before? What kind of food do you like? Have you ever seen anything like this before?
Love Em x

  5. Oh I love Vietnamese food! I wish they sold this closer to where I live. Leeds is probably a little far for me but I'll definitely be hunting this down the next time I'm in London.
