Manchester Christmas Markets and Burt's Bees New Launch!

A trip to a Christmas market is always a winner for me so a few weeks ago when I was sent a shiny new polaroid camera from Burt's Bees, I knew that I had to take it with me. Me and Jack decided to go to the Manchester Christmas markets so that we could compare them to the German Christmas Market in Leeds. If you like food, festivities and fun, you're in the right place today...

Burt's Bees challenged me to celebrate the launch of their new Blueberry and Dark Chocolate lip balm (which tastes and smells incredible by the way) by showing them a little bit of nature and telling them why I love nature as much as they do, I thought the Manchester markets could kind of pass as nature, after all, there are trees around Manchester. But I have always loved nature, I was brought up pretty much in a forest, so when I see trees and greenery, I feel like I'm at home.

I was sent some gorgeous products of theirs, all which went on the trip to Manchester with me as we stayed over night, I absolutely love the facewipes, I cannot believe just how good they smell! I didn't realise that Burt's Bees did facewipes but now I know I'm going to be ordering some more as they're just divine.

So onto the markets...

We arrived in a pretty busy Manchester city centre...
The Manchester Christmas markets are huge compared to the Leeds markets, personally I prefer the one in Leeds because you can actually walk around, but it was great to see just how many people were there, it was truly exciting and manic.

Christmas markets are scattered everywhere around Manchester, the main one is Albert Square, it's huge, rammed full of people but also rammed full of stalls, it makes Leeds look like there aren't any stalls at all.

I'd say the food is better at Manchester, only because there is SO much more of it.

Outfit wise I wore my new ASOS tartan trousers and my gorgeous new boots, C/O Daniel Footwear

I hate this photo of me, it was going to be an outfit of the day post but I really don't like how the photos turned out (and I don't like my old hair) but I thought I'd get a proper shot in here of me wearing my boots so you can see them. Coat - Zara, Shorts - Topshop.

They're the nicest little brown boots and surprisingly, go really well with black tights. I love Daniel Footwear, it's so hard to choose in there, everything is perfect.

Unlike Leeds, the Manchester markets aren't just German which is really nice and different as you can try foods from all over the world.

Naturally me and Jack got another hot dog each, just like we did at the Leeds Christmas Market.

As you can see, it was pretty busy but that actually added to the day as it meant that the atmosphere was amazing.

The highlight of the day. Thanks Jack, top boyfriend. My favourite stall.

Little bit in love with Jack's Christmas jumper.

I've got to say, they're the best chocolate strawberries I've ever tasted.

I wanted to take one of these home so badly.

Here we have a little bit of nature in Manchester, I love the dainty Christmas lights.

They even sold macaroons! This is Manchester, not Paris, how exciting!

You'll never go hungry if you visit a Christmas market, that's for sure.
A few polaroids of the day, I wonder if they'll make it onto my polaroid wall? And check out my new hair, uhoh! Read about it here if you missed that one. Thank you Bert's Bees (and Jack) for inspiring a lovely day. My lovely fur headband is from Next.

Which Christmas markets have you been to? Where do you recommend that I head to next? Have you visited the Leeds or Manchester Christmas markets? All in all, I love both Leeds and Manchester when it comes to Christmas, they're both very different but both well worth a visit. If you want to find out more about the Leeds Christmas markets, read my post here.

Love Em x
