Tanya Burr Lips and Nails Review

When I heard that Tanya Burr was bringing out a make up range, like I'm sure most beauty lovers did, I  got very excited. I've been lucky enough to meet Tanya Burr twice, first at the Savoy hotel when we both got our hair styled by Charles Worthington for the 2013 BAFTA's and then at the Lipsy VIP party. Both times she was lovely and it was a genuine pleasure to meet her, she's such a genuinely lovely girl and I am so glad that she is proving to be incredibly successful. I knew that I had to make an order when her products launched on FeelUnique - how could I not? I realise that this blog post is quite late but they actually only arrived a week ago because so many people had ordered it took quite a while but better late than never! It was so hard choosing what to go for but I'm loving neutral things at the moment so I chose one lipgloss and two nail varnishes, read on for swatches and to see how I got on...

Firstly, the packaging. The packaging is so easy going and pretty, I love pretty, simplistic packaging - I kind of want to collect all of these to put on a shelf in my bedroom as I think they're just gorgeous.

After much deliberation, I went for peaches & cream as my first nail varnish. I've been a fan of nude colours after seeing Kendall Jenner sporting a beautiful nude pink so I thought I'd give this a go.tanya burr penguin chic

I also went for Penguin Chic, firstly because I liked the name but secondly because it's a really different take on a greyish colour and I don't own anything like this.tanya burr nail varnish

I painted my Mum's nails with Peaches & Cream and she loved it, which isn't like my Mum because she really doesn't wear nail varnish but she loved this one. It's so pretty and shiny!

It looks a lot darker in the bottle but the colour is much nicer when it's on the nails.

This is just with one coat, I love the barely there look - I know that this is going to be my go-to Spring polish.

The second nail varnish that I bought, Penguin Chic, is truly beautiful, it's so shiny and sophisticated yet effortless. I usually wear really dark shades, dark reds and blacks so it's nice that this is dark but it isn't as dark as what I usually wear, there's a bit more to it than the standard black varnish. These varnishes go on really easily and you don't need to apply many coats, I applied three here and as you can see it's really thick and shiny, they dry really quickly too.

Choosing a lipgloss was an even harder decision, in the end I went for 'Just Peachy' because it's pretty and girlie and again, really good for Spring. Again, I love the packaging, it's so simplistic and beautiful. This will look gorgeous in my bag.

At first, I thought that this was just going to be a thin gloss, but actually, it comes out really nice and thick, like a glossy lipstick. With this, you get the moisture and shine of a gloss and the colour and thickness of a lipstick which is really nice because lipsticks tend to dry my lips out really bad.

How cute is the packaging?

The brush is really nice too, it's so soft and the gloss literally glides on.

I really wasn't expecting this colour to come out, it looks quite bland in the packaging but it's so vibrant and pretty when it comes out of the tube. I fell in love immediately. It is PERFECT.

I feel like it makes my lips look a lot bigger too which is always a winner. It's not too sticky but it still has that nice tackiness to it that lipgloss should have.

Sorry about the bright photos, I wanted to show it with flash but I am well and truly in love with this lipgloss, thank you so much Tanya!

All in all I am extremely impressed with Tanya Burr's Lips and Nails collection, I absolutely love the items which I got and wish I ordered more now. Next on my list is the mini marshmallows and little duck, two beautiful shades and another lipgloss of course, I'll be buying the Picnic In The Park next time! The nail varnishes cost £5.99 and the lip glosses cost £6.99, I think the price point is really good, particularly because these are clearly really high quality products and they're still more than affordable. You can buy Tanya Burr's Lips and Nails from FeelUnique here! I can't wait for Tanya to hopefully bring out even more exciting products!

Have you tried any Tanya Burr products? Will you be buying any? Do you like the ones above that I bought? Do you have your eyes on any?

Lots of love, Em x
