It's March, Hello March! Oh my gosh, where is the time going? Time flies when you're having fun they say, it's almost Summer (hurrah), but secretly, I'm more of a Spring lover, everything is so fresh and beautiful and Spring is seriously on the horizon now, I can almost taste it, to get you in the mood, I thought I'd talk you through my favourite Spring picks - there are some incredible new items out and I needed to tell you what I'm loving. Let's get Spring ready!
Soap and Glory Make Yourself Youthful CC Superfluid Multi-Action Tinted Moisturiser - Ah I am loving CC creams at the moment and this one is one of my favourites, at first I thought woah, this is WAY too dark for me, and yes, it looks horrendously dark on the above photograph so it's going to be something that I'll wear more when I have a tan, but, I wanted to try it anyway and to be honest, with it being a CC cream, it does actually just blend into my skin (as you can see on the swatch below) and really doesn't look too silly or too dark, in fact, it gives a flawless coverage. I was surprised with how good the coverage of this product is, I really expected it to give really bad, weak water like coverage with it being a tinted moisturiser but I really like this product and it really reminds me of L'Oreal Nude Magic Au Teint foundation, it's quite watery but the coverage is build-able and I love the effect of it. Bravo Soap and Glory, I am loving your products at the moment.
Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream - Next up is another CC cream that I've been absolutely loving, I have done a few mentions of this recently so you can find out more about it on my February Favourites post here or my exciting new skin care post here, but basically, this is an absolutely fantastic CC cream with a build-able coverage (I'd say medium coverage) and it's good for your skin too, a winner all round, it's time to let you skin breathe whilst looking flawless and this is the product just for that.
Clarins Joli Rouge Brilliant Perfect Shine Sheer Lipstick - Oh my gosh another Clarins product which I am loving (Clarins seriously have so many amazing new products it makes me want to cry/dance with happiness!) This beautiful little red shade (colour: coral tulip) really isn't the standard red, as you can see, it has a gorgeous hint of lightness in it which makes it a lighter shade of red which is almost pinky, because of this, it's actually really easy colour to wear, in comparison to some red lipsticks which are too harsh - you could easily wear this day in day out.
Naked Lipgloss by Urban Decay - I reviewed Urban Decay's new Naked range the other day so if you read that post (here) you'll see why I love this so much. I think Lovestruck (above) is the perfect colour for Spring because it's so playful and flirtatious without being too much. I love Spring for barely there and neutral make up and this is just that, perfectly pretty and polished but perfectly natural too.
He-Shi Bronzer (for body and face) - I didn't even realise that He-Shi did bronzing powders, I've used their tan before and I love it (review coming soon) but recently I was sent their bronzer to try (thank you He-Shi) and this is now a staple in my make up bag - I thought this was really nice for Spring because it's a mosaic style bronzer, so you don't get just one dark colour but more of a vibrant selection. I've never really used a mosaic style bronzer before but I really do love this.
The Body Shop Rose Lipgloss - If you've read my blog for a while you will know that I always have a trusty lipgloss in my bag from The Body Shop. Their Spring range doesn't disappoint and this is quickly becoming a favourite 'always in my bag' lipgloss. It's really easy to wear and actually not too sparkly, the colour is so cute, it makes my lips look juicy and shiny and in true Body Shop style, tastes and smells delicious - this is such a kissable day date colour. I just can't get enough of The Body Shop at the moment, I crowned them my 'top brand of 2013' and the way they're going, they're shortly going to be a top brand of 2014 too!
Jurlique Essence Of Rose, Roll-On Fragrance Oil - I've used Jurlique products for quite some time now, my dreamy herbal recovery oil from their collection ran out a few months ago and it was probably the worst day of my life when it did so it's nice to have some Jurlique back in my life (plus it's stocked in Marks and Spencers so it's easy to find now!) All of their roll on fragrances smell divine, they smell like perfume should do and they're perfect if you're forever travelling and running around like me as you can just throw them in your bag. I can't get enough of their fragrance oils because they last so long and also feel really moisturising on my wrists too, I just want to coat my body in this.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Ultra Definition Loose Finishing Powder - Another product which I've recently reviewed (here) but of course this powder made it onto my Spring must-haves because it's such a beautiful finishing powder which really doesn't make you look caked at all, it does it's job and makes you look flawless but without looking like you're wearing much make up. This product is perfect for a flawless yet natural finish this Spring.
Clarins Eclat Minute Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base - Clarins do it again. This is seriously the ultimate Spring product, I am well and truly obsessed with this stunning complexion base. I put this on over my primer or sometimes instead of a primer, I also sometimes just put it on my cheeks, I wouldn't say it's as bright as a highlighter, it doesn't have that sheen to it, it has more of a natural radiant glow to it, it's more subtle and does genuinely just make you look radiant. As you can see, the colour is so dreamy and pretty. Perfect to wake you up on those Spring mornings. Knowing that I've got this to put on actually makes me want to get out of bed and apply my make up on a morning.
Benefit LolliTint - For some reason I forgot to put this on the photo at the top but how could I not include this as a top Spring product? This really does give a candy-like flush of colour and it really does brighten up my face. I was really nervous when it came to applying this to begin with but I was advised to put it on my blusher brush so I did just that and it came out really nicely (without ruining my brush). I'm going to do a full review of this soon as Benefit have some incredible products at the moment which really need shouting about (they kindly sent me this to review). I just love the colour of this, it's so pink and girlie, it gets me really excited for Spring.
Lots of love, Em x
