So today I thought I'd write a March favourites post, it's crazy to think that March has already been and gone - (I'm currently in Vietnam but thought I'd post this before I do anymore travel updates) scary really how quickly time is passing, but that means one thing, it's already time to talk about my favourite items this month. As you can see, most of these items are pretty and pink and so perfect for Spring, there are so many amazing items out at the moment which are absolutely perfect for the warmer months and I can't get enough of these. I am so excited to share these pink themed favourites with you.
First up, American Apparel Nail Lacquer, I got this free when I made a purchase in American Apparel the other week and I couldn't be happier with the colour that I chose. I absolutely can't get enough of this beautiful nude pink, you may have seen me instagram it - it's very Kendall Jenner - as most of you will know, I have been searching for the perfect nude for quite some time now after seeing her instagram a photograph of some pretty nude nails and I have finally found it. The only thing I would say is that this is extremely runny and it makes nail painting very hard, I was left with extremely messy nails afterwards.
Another nail varnish but one which I love so much, Liz Earle's Strengthening Nail Colour in bright and breezy, I absolutely love it and have discussed this so much on my blog recently, I raved about it on my Spring Favourites post it's just the perfect Spring colour and one which I will be wearing throughout the holiday season this Summer too. Thank you so much to Liz Earle for introducing me to such a magnificent colour.
Benefit's Lollitint had to make it onto the March favourites post - what an incredible product. I find that applying this with a blusher brush over my foundation is the best way to get a gorgeous, glowing tint on my cheeks, it gives such a pretty-in-pink natural flush. Every girl needs this in her life, I really do feel super girlie and innocent when wearing this.
The Body Colour Crush Lipsticks (shade 15 and 18) - Oh my gosh, I was lucky enough to receive The Body Shop's gorgeous new silky lipsticks this month to try and as you can see above, they're not too intense at all, they're bright in a really soft, moisturising way. They are really lovely and light-weight on the lips too, shiny enough but not too shiny, they keep my lips smooth all day, just like a lip balm would do. These are really easy and fun to wear.
- The Body Shop's Early Harvest Raspberry Body Butter - Another product which I was lucky enough to review for The Body Shop this month, receiving this through the post truly did make my month, honestly the most incredible range I have ever smelt. In true Body Shop style, their new raspberry body butter both smells and feels absolutely divine. It had to make it onto my March Favourites. I absolutely adore The Body Shop, particularly when it comes to body butters and this is no exception, this smells like a jar of raspberry jam - I just want to eat myself!
SUQQU Balancing Blusher - So SUQQU is a brand that I stumbled across on the Selfridges website and I am so glad I came across them. I am absolutely crazy in love with their new balancing blush duo, it's absolutely beautiful and I just use my Real Techniques blusher brush on both of the colours and apply these two colours together on the apples of my cheeks, I only apply a tiny bit and it really does awaken my face and make my look ready for the day ahead. SUQQU is a new favourite brand of mine, watch out because I'm going to be talking about them a lot!
RMK is a brand that I recently discovered too - I mentioned their amazing lipgloss in my March make up bag post and explained that I truly cannot get enough of it. Again, this is another amazing product from them. This is the cutest little eye shadow and again, sticks with my Spring theme as it's cute and pink! Their Kaleido scope eyes is described as a flirty and feminine eye shadow and it's part of their new Play On Pink collection for Spring Summer 2014. I personally would never have put pink on my eye lids before but when you apply this with the brown, it actually changes into such a nice and different take on a smokey eye, the perfect Summer smokey eye I'd say.
I had to include one of Bourjois' New Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks, my favourite lipstick ever, already and I've got a full review coming up very shortly which I cannot wait to share with you. This particular shade is Frambourjois and I'd describe it as a really nice, warm, sunkissed red with tones of pink in it. It's such a pretty colour and it isn't as harsh as bright red either.
This month I've been doing a lot of online shopping, as much as I love shopping in town, I do like to just easily click away and fill up my baskets, I came across cyberstreetwise which gives you online shopping advice and tips in order to stay safe online, I had a look for this after being scammed on gumtree recently. If you are going to be buying anything online after reading my blog, make sure you give that a read.
Do you like any of these products? Have you used any of the above? Tell me what you're loving this month!
Lots of love, Em x
