Easy Banana Ice Cream/Frozen Yoghurt Recipe

Happy Sunday! So lots of people have requested that I write up this recipe so I've decided to publish this on a rainy Sunday afternoon (it's rainy where I am anyway!), why on earth not! This is the easiest, healthiest, yummiest recipe. I decided to publish it firstly because lots of you asked on Instagram and secondly, because my first recipe post this month went down really well so I thought I'd do another one to mix things up a bit. Beauty and fashion are obviously my favourite things, but it's nice to talk about healthy, delicious food too and I couldn't not share this with you. As mentioned in my other recipe post, I am not a professional, this is simply a recipe I took from Pinterest and wanted to share with everyone because I personally love it.
You will need (to serve two people):
-Bananas x3 frozen
-1 ripe un-frozen banana
Other bits, not necessary but you can add if you wish:
- Ice
- Semi-skimmed milk
- Cinnamon
- Dry coconut
- Mango

Grab your frozen bananas  (I used 3, not sure why they look so ugly on this photo!? sorry about that) - the quantity depends on how big you want your portion to be, mine served two people and I only used 3 bananas (and 1 non-frozen banana) but you can use as many as you like. Pop them in a blender, or when at Uni I use an easy hand blender. If you let them soften a little bit first, you can just use a fork to mash them into ice-cream, obviously it just won't be as smooth.

Mine weren't frozen enough as I'd only left them for about an hour or two so I added some ice into my blender too... add crushed ice if your blender doesn't blend big cubes.

Add a splash of milk for extra creaminess then whizz it all up in the blender for about 3 minutes until it's creamy - I personally like to leave mine a little bit chunky but you can have it completely smooth if you like.

Grab some cinnamon and put a sprinkle of it on top if you wish, then I like to add either freshly sliced banana, mango or some dry coconut into it.

Tadaa, that's it. Literally, the most perfect thing to banish sugar cravings, it tastes deliciously creamy and sweet. I don't even like bananas that much by themselves but I love them blended and keep making this on a daily basis to curb any sugar cravings. I realise I put quite a lot of cinnamon on top of mine but that's just because I love it, feel free to top yours with anything you like or just have it plain, I often just have it without any toppings after my lunch. This is completely healthy and delicious, I like to call it banana ice cream or banana frozen yogurt because that's exactly what it tastes like, without the calories. Sorry if the photos don't look that appetising, I promise you it tastes delicious!

If you enjoyed this, you can read my other recipe here, healthy banana and oat cookie bites!
I want to try this with other fruits soon so I will let you know how I get on!

Have you ever tried this? Have you done this with any other fruits? Let me know if you like my little recipe posts popping up on my blog once in a while!  Lots of love, Em x
