Harrogate and Afternoon Tea

Hello, so a little lifestyle post from me today because lots of you have said that you've been enjoying my personal/lifestyle posts (thank you!). I go to Harrogate most weekends, it's extremely close to my house so I thought I'd take my camera with me and show you around. We stopped off at the famous Betty's for some afternoon tea and obviously, had a walk around the gardens. It was glorious sunshine and a perfect day to just relax. Let's get walking...
betty's harrogateFirst we sat down in Betty's...

Tea at the ready...

Opened up the Summer menu...

I was tempted by the green tea but I went for a banana milk shake instead...

I was tempted by fluffy raspberry pancakes but instead I went for the poached eggs.

Mum went for the salmon with scrambled eggs...

Grandad went for the poached eggs with bacon...

cream tea

We obviously had to get a cream tea to finish...

betty's macaroon

My raspberry macaroon was devoured in minutes...

Seconds even...

probably the nicest macaroon I've had.

The cream tea was finished up promptly...

harrogate

I posed in the Harrogate photoframe...

Love my Primark shoes.

valley gardens

We had a walk around Valley Gardens...

made a wish in the well... (I can't tell you what I wished because it might not come true then).

Top: Topshop, similar here and here.
Skirt: Missguided Old but the most similar ones I can find are here, herehere and here
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban C/O The Sunglasses Shop

Next we found a cute little house...

and wandered through the gardens a little bit more...

The band started playing... (oh how very British)

missguided sequin daisy skirt

The sun was still out and so were my new Ray-Bans...

Keep your eyes peeled for another Ray-Ban giveaway!

I hope you liked this little light-hearted post! Happy Friday!
Have you ever heard of/visited Harrogate? Are you also having nice weather where you are?

Lots of love, Em x

  5. I'm on the boarder of Lancashire/Yorkshire and actually not to far from Harrogate, I've been before but I'm definitely up for paying another visit and taking my time enjoying the scenery. I've drove through but not stepped foot around the place since I was a teen x
