Too Faced Bonjour Soleil Palette Review

too faced bonjour soleil palette
It was a very exciting day for me when this beautiful new palette from Too Faced landed in my post box. I've always loved Too Faced, I remember owning their lip injection when I was younger and always looking at their stand in House of Fraser but since then, I haven't had much Too Faced in my life. But then this beauty landed on my doorstep. I love pink, I love nautical things and I love all things French, I also love to be naturally bronzed and illuminated so it would seem that this is a dream palette for me... I expected to open it and it be full of eye shadows, I'm more of a bronzer girl myself, I always prefer face products over eye products so I truly was extremely excited when I looked inside...

Inside the large box (it is a very large tin but it's quite thin so it's nice to take away for long weekends I guess) is a collection of bronzing best-sellers... it's not full of colours that you'll never use, it's just got the three best-sellers in, no messing around, it means that everything in this palette should be 'the best'.

chocolate soleil
The first bronzer is the matte, cocoa-powder infused chocolate soleil (which smells amazing, it smells like chocolate, heaven or what!?). It's very dark but as long as you blend it, it's beautiful. I tend to go for more orangey or golden bronzers, obviously I don't want to look orange, but when I compare this to my usual bronzers (Nars Laguna, Estee Lauder Golden) they do have more golden tones in them.

The bronzer in the centre is called 'Sun Bunny' (I love the name). Sun Bunny has slight pink undertones in it and mimics the flush of a real tan. I think I prefer the colour of this, the top half is much more like the colours that I usually use to bronze with, okay, it's still not as golden but it's a touch lighter. I do love the bottom colour too, it reminds me of my favourite He-Shi bronzer.

and saving the best until last. The third colour is called 'Snow Bunny', another adorable name. Four gorgeous shades combined to create a lovely illuminating bronzer,  I'd say this is my favourite.

and it comes with it's own brush too which is really soft and dreamy. I usually expect the brushes to be rubbish that come with palettes but actually, both Urban Decay and Too Faced have surprised me with the quality of their brushes that come with their palettes.

Here is a little swab, so the top is the darkest, the middle is the sun bunny and the bottom is the snow bunny, this looks very dark but it actually isn't I just put lots onto my hand so that you could see it.

I think my favourite thing is that this comes with a little guide, which is really helpful.

I hope you like the look of this, I promised a full review and here it is!

It's available to buy online here with free worldwide shipping.

Do you like the look of this? Have you seen bronzing palettes like this before? Do you use Too Faced?

Lots of love, Em x

  1. This sounds like such a good concept, a lot more brands should be taking this on board and putting the best of products into one palette!

  8. Sooo pretty. I own their Leopard Bronzer and I quite like it (although it is a little pink!) along with a few of their eye palettes. I would love to add this to my collection!
