Too Faced Cat Eyes Collection Review

Too Faced Cat Eyes liner and shadow collection

You may remember this from my August favourites video and boy, does it deserve a proper review. It was only when I saw it in all it's glory on a shelf in Sephora the other day that I realised I really needed to review this beautiful product. (As most of you know, I'm currently doing lots of blogging from Canada and it's safe to say that I want the whole of Sephora - haul coming soon!) This palette is like a dream come true, even for me, someone who doesn’t really use eye shadow or liner too much…

I feel like I haven't done a beauty review for a long time and that really upsets me as we all know that beauty is my favourite. I do like to do smokey eyes when I can be bothered, when I have the time and for special occasions but I like to follow strict instructions so that I don't go wrong. For eye-liner/shadow newbies, this is so good because it gives you all the looks to create in a handy little booklet and the looks are so so easy - you'll feel like a make up artist within 3 minutes.

I like the different shades in this palette - I'm not really a dark smokey eye girl anymore, I prefer neutral shades like my new Charlotte Tilbury palette so it's nice to see two autumny colours at the top too rather than a palette packed with only neutral or only dark colours; you get a real mix here which makes it a really versatile palette.

This is designed to give the look of a 'cat eye'. The palette differs from other palettes as it includes three wet and dry formulas for lining and a wing tip. So basically it includes 9 new shades in matte, shimmer and glitter textures in both warm and cool tones (perfect for Summer and Winter) and then they can also be changed into liners if you make them wet.
I have lots of eye shadow palettes but they’re all so huge, it’s really nice and refreshing to have liners and shadows all in one tiny, compact, gorgeous palette, perfect for travelling or weekends away.

The 'how-to glamour guide' offers step by step application which is just what I needed. Hopefully here you can see just how amazing these colours are. I've always loved TooFaced - I recently reviewed their bonjour bronzing palette - another launch from them which got me super excited.

The guide that comes with the palette gives you 3 steps to create 3 looks in just 3 minutes - something to take you from day to night too which is great.

So there we have it, I couldn't be happier with this 'ferociously feminine' collection. I personally doubt I'll ever wear the purples as purple just doesn't suit me. I 'd say my favourite colours are the classic 'meow' and then Tiger's Eye and Leopard - easy to apply and long lasting. All in all, I wouldn't usually go for a leopard printed palette but that proves you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover as the inside is pretty amazing! My favourite thing about this palette is how compact it is, it has everything you need in it (apart from a brush - I always recommend Real Techniques though).

The palette costs £34 and can be bought online here.

Have you seen the Too Faced Cat Eyes palette in stores yet? It stood out to me so much. How do you feel about eye palettes? Do you like Too Faced?

Lots of love, Em x
