So I'm a little late to the party here but it was a very good day indeed when an airmail parcel arrived for me in Canada brimming with Bourjois goodies. I totally fell head over heels in love with the Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipsticks and the minute I saw this collection, I knew I was going to fall in love all over again. Let's talk about Bourjois' delicious new 12 hour lipstick range...
Packaging wise, they've got it oh so right - these lipsticks look classy, sleek and pretty

Application: I was actually expecting these to be a lot more pigmented but you do have to apply quite a lot to get a strong colour, I'd say these are really moisturising actually and whilst they give a lot more colour than Clinique's Chubby sticks. The nearest comparison would be Clinique's Chubby Sticks but these aren't balms, I'd say particularly the lighter shades are more like light lipsticks which are so easy to wear. If you put a few layers on, they become more pigmented. I think this is great because it means you can wear them as a day lipstick or apply a little bit more and wear them as a night lipstick.
I'd say these lipsticks are very pearly in texture, they're really hydrating and a genuine pleasure to wear actually - they're just so easy to wear. I am obsessed with colour 28, Pamplemousse which is their best selling colour ever apparently - I can see why, it's such a fun coral shade

As you can see, the darker colours are quite pigmented, but I did put a few layers on.
All in all, I am so impressed with these lipsticks, if anything, I'm more impressed by the beautiful array of colours and how they keep my lips hydrated - I was getting bored of lipsticks which dry out my lips! These are the perfect Winter lipsticks. I wish I included these in my Christmas gift guide now - they'd make amazing stocking fillers!
They're available to buy on FeelUnique for £8.00 here - so a very good price point too! It's just going to be pretty hard deciding what colour to go for!
Do you like Bourjois? Have you tried/heard about these lipsticks? What do you look for in a lipstick?
Lots of love, Em x
