When a girls night out presents itself to you, you can hardly say no can you? Any excuse to catch up with one of my favourite people and longest blogging friends - a girl who through blogging, has become a genuine true friend to me. A few weeks ago I was invited to an event with Thomson travel and I actually decided not to go, I'm not a fan of going to events etc by myself and got wobbly feet but then the night before, that friend in question, Victoria said she was going so we decided to go together! Let's talk cocktails, little black dresses and a few too many bubbles...
I decided to wear my new Attention Stealer mesh dress - I was quite scared to wear it because it's ever so slightly busty but hey, I haven't worn a little black dress like this in forever so why the heck not! I got this dress for Christmas, you may remember it from my 'What I Got For Christmas Post' and I absolutely love it - you can get it online here - Similar here, here and here. My shoes are from Daniel Footwear here and you can get similar here for £20. I am obsessed with nude heels.
We jumped in a taxi and arrived in Shoreditch, London. The club was arranged into three rooms, a Thailand room, a Mexico room and an Ibiza room - three great themes. We started in the Thailand room with some extremely strong cocktails...
and then moved straight over to the photobooth.
After playing around in the photobooth for far too long, I'm a photobooth addict - we moved into the Mexican room...
We sat and listened to the DJ
and we were tempted by the yummy destination themed treats which kept flying past us - Victoria grabbed an enchilada...
After another cocktail, we decided to move to the Ibiza room
There were numerous members of Made In Chelsea gathered around the cosy tables
and we decided to head to the bar for some prosecco
We clinked our glasses together and said a quick 'cheers!'
Then went to find some good lighting for selfies and vlogging...(blogger problems!) Keep an eye on Victoria's YouTube channel for a video about the night...
A few selfies later, we went back into the Thailand room to sample the Thai chicken curry...
then we had a quick dance (yes that's Proudlock stood in the middle if you're a Made In Chelsea fan)
sipped some more prosecco,
Watched (and danced) whilst Jameela Jamil got on the decks...
and there was time for another round of prosecco before it was time to go back to Victoria's...
naturally we went for another session in the photobooth and then it was time to head home and catch up some more...
Thanks to Thomson for inviting us and thank you so much to Victoria for the most wonderful night (make sure you check out her blog here) - I love nothing more than catching up with my favourite people!
Do you like girls nights out? Do you like little black dresses? Are you a cocktail lover?
Lots of love, Em x
