Firstly, happy new year! I wish you all an amazing 2015 (soppy, 2015 style resolutions post coming your way very shortly). I decided to go and shoot my first outfit of the day down my street this week. It's funny, but you sometimes forget about the beauty right in front of you, I have such beautiful countryside right outside my front door and I feel so grateful. It felt good to get out into the open air and just take in the beautiful scenery that surrounds me (and click away at the camera). I absolutely adore this dress, it feels so boho, fresh and floaty which is why I decided to take it out into the countryside to shoot, here's my first blog post of 2015! I guess that makes it a pretty special one right?
I put an old belt around the dress, paired it with my gold sparkly nail varnish (Claire's Accessories), my trusty Daniel Wellington watch and my gorgeous new boots, C/O Daniel Footwear - they're sturdy, classical and sophisticated, not to mention, so comfortable (great for hiding pale legs in Winter but still making an outfit look great - even if I do say so myself).
The dress was kindly sent to me by Ghost and I can tell it's going to be a piece which doesn't leave my wardrobe, I can imagine wearing it over a bikini on the beach, with heels on a night out, with tights for a country walk - you name it, I think it's such a floaty, classic dress.
On the walk home, I couldn't help but snap a gorgeous shot of the beautiful British countryside.
When I got home, it was time for a hearty dinner... Yorkshire puds,
turkey,
and mash.
I ate it as fast as I could to warm myself back up again.
You know what they say, there really is no place like home!
Do you like Ghost? Do you like this dress? Do you love the countryside too? How do you feel about knee-high boots?
Lots of love, Em x
