Before I start, I just want to say, cheat day is okay, particularly when Easter is basically here, so this weekend, chocolate and pizza is most certainly allowed. If you read my top health and fitness tips post, you'll see that I explained the 80/20 rule, you're basically okay as long as you eat healthy 80% of the time - it's all about a balanced diet, so yes, pizza is allowed (occasionally). Pizza makes me happy, infact, food in general makes me really happy (you'll know this if you follow me on Instagram @emshelx) so when JUST EAT asked me if I wanted a girls night in (with them) I couldn't say no. I grabbed a few of my favourite people, grabbed my favourite pampering goodies, put my favourite pyjamas on and ordered my favourite food. Come and join me for a girls night in!
Once I was in my comfy pyjamas (my gorgeous Spring playsuit from Next and Topshop dressing gown) I grabbed my phone and ordered a takeaway using the voucher they kindly provided me with. I never usually order from the app and always do it on a laptop, to be honest I didn't even know JUST EAT had an app so I'm pretty happy about this although it makes ordering unhealthy food way easier!
I used to use JUST EAT at university all the time, it's the easiest way to order a takeaway (particularly if everyone fancies something different because you can see a list of loads of takeaways and order from loads of different takeaways) - everyone could order from a different takeaway at the same time if they wanted and it's so easy with the click of a button - dangerous...
You can also sort takeaways by rating and by distance (you search by postcode and geo-locate allows you to find takeaways closest to you) making it easier to discover new takeaways or make sure you only get a good takeaway. You can also filter restaurant results by a specific cuisine - I actually used this when travelling Canada and managed to find my favourite healthy Vegetarian restaurant on there! See, it doesn't have to be unhealthy. Just like TripAdvisor too, you can also see all restaurant ratings and reviews so you're never going to get a bad takeaway (got for the 5* ones!) I personally really like the fact that I can pay on my card too as I never have cash on me. I found my favourite takeaway on there so decided to order from there. Enough about the app and the takeaway now, can we talk about the actual night in and the food?!
We went to pick it up because it was just easier for us but you can pay like £1 for delivery from so so many different places. We only had a 20 minute wait so we got pampering, quickly...
I lit my favourite Rodial candle (it smells like pure heaven, seriously - you may remember it from my March favourites video)
I removed my make up with Kylie Jenner's favourite glycolic fix exfoliating pads (if they're good enough for the Jenners and Kardashians then they're good enough for me!)
I coated my body in the luxurious and ultra-moisturising Argan 5 ultra-rich body butter
and then cracked open the champagne (don't worry, I wasn't driving).
I painted my nails with Bourjois new La Laque nail varnish, the colours are beautiful. I got these at an event I attended in London recently.
You should all know by now just how much I adore nude nail varnishes (you can read about my top nude nail varnishes here).
and before I knew it, the food had arrived. My absolute favourite thing to do is to actually have some me time and relax, I rarely do this so it was so nice to get some comfy pjs on, put some nice TV on, really pamper with lots of exciting products and then pig out for one night. I need to treat myself more often, It was easy, quick and dangerous for those of us who are trying to be healthy (perfect for cheat day though!). You can order a healthy option too because it is possible to order from so many different takeaways, just take your pick and choose something healthier - we got some healthier grilled chicken to kind of balance out the kebab...
I went all out and got my favourite pizza - I limited myself to two slices because I seriously need to sort my eating out.
The others kept it healthier with grilled chicken kebabs
I requested for extra seasoning on the instructions bit on JUST EAT and my chips sure did come with extra seasoning (I am obsessed with seasoning on fries!).
Garlic bread pizza is my weakness so I added that to my order too (I need to go to the gym, pronto!).
We nibbled the night away (me in my cosy Pringle socks - thank you SockShop)
You may remember seeing the above photo of my cheat night on my Instagram (@emshelx) - I love brands who actually talk to bloggers and JustEat replied to me with a 'mini fist pump' haha.
and then I regretted it instantly and realised I should probably get back to my healthy eating! Seriously. Expect no more takeaways from me now! But hey, if you do fancy cheating this weekend, you can download the JUST EAT app here, if you dare!
Have you ever used Just Eat? Do you love pizza? Do you like takeaways? What do you do on your girls nights in?
*I worked with JUST on this post but as always it's 100% my honest opinion
Lots of love, Em x
