Montreal's Old Port

uk travel blog
My time in Montreal is over. Eek. That makes me sad. I love writing travel/lifestyle posts so I thought I'd blog about my final few days in Canada. Last week, I headed into my favourite area of Montreal, the Old Port, after an amazing (and very chocolatey brunch) with some of my friends. Let's talk chocolate and cobbles...

I knew we'd chosen the right place to brunch at when I read the menu; 'Dip it in chocolate; it'll be fine'. We went to a chocolate cafe and let's just say, it was delicious.
For starters? Fruit with a side of chocolate.

Mains? Okay, less chocolate here - we're talking breakfast items

and naturally we got a chocolate fondue to finish.

We left after chatting over delicious melted chocolate for hours (is it just me who thinks chocolate tastes way nicer when it's melted?)

and then headed down the road to the Old Port.

It suddenly got brighter so I put my new Ray-Bans on, C/O Smart Buy Glasses. I have had my eyes on these blacked out Club Masters for so long.

I wore my favourite new shoes with my trusty dress.

I popped a jumper over the top because it was a bit chilly.

I used my trusty Zara bag, you can get similar (and all very affordable) herehere and here

I didn't know if all black glasses would suit me but I'm really in love with these.

We wandered around the streets some more

Of course I wore my trusty Daniel Wellington watch. I never take it off. You can get 15% off them here with code EMTALKS if you fancy treating yourself.

We stumbled along the cobbles and then came across the most beautiful, peaceful street. It reminded me of Soho in New York so badly.

I whipped off my jacket for the occasion. Sunglasses still firmly on my face.

We continued to stroll and took in our last day at the Old Port.

I kissed goodbye to the Canadian flag

and in a flash, it was over. The port which I would run to on a daily basis, no longer. But Montreal, and the Old Port in particular, will always be in my heart and I have a feeling I'll be back really soon.

Thank you to the lovely Emilie Macfie for taking these photos

Have you ever heard of the Old Port? Do you like the look of this area?

Lots of love, Em x
