Hello hello! So today I thought I'd do another brand spotlight post eek! As mentioned last month, I like to try full collections to get a real feel for a brand (my Chanel collection is slowly growing so expect a Chanel brand spotlight very soon!). Even though sometimes a brand can just have one hero product (no-one is entirely perfect; we know that some people do great mascaras but not so great foundations for example) - I like to look at collections as a whole as well, I think it's a great way to get a feel for a brand. Chantecaille is a new brand for me which is why I am excited to finally talk to you about this brand. I first stumbled across Chantecaille in Space NK where I fell in love with their Save The Bee's palette last year. I am still so sad that I didn't manage to get my hands on it (it was a best seller and sold out way too quickly) so it's good to finally try some of their new products, I know Chantelliace is a beauty guru favourite so let's see how I got on!
Firstly, I'd like to talk about the packaging of Chantecaille products. Obviously, you should never judge anything by it's cover but for me, I do have a little weak spot when it comes to pretty products. I absolutely fell head over heels, immediately when I saw how beautiful these products are, before they're even unboxed! As most of you know, pastels and lilacs are my favourite colours so naturally this just made me think of all things beautiful and got me very excited. I feel like these products could brighten anyones day. I love the effortless but still high-end design. Sometimes, when you introduce colours to packaging it can take away from the high-end feel but I just adore the packaging of these. Packaging test, passed.
Chantecaille Anti-Smog Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 - First up, Chantecaille's anti-smog tinted moisturiser. I immediately trusted Chantecaille as I have heard such good stuff, the minute I put this on my hand to test, I understood the Chantecaille hype. To say this is a tinted moisturiser, it's actually great coverage - I was expecting it to be a lot lighter - it still has a light feel to it, but for me, the coverage is great and it isn't too light! I am really trying to wear tinted moisturiser more because I know it's better for my skin and it isn't too heavy, I also love the natural dewy look but I do love medium coverage foundation - it just makes me feel better on bad skin days. This is probably the perfect tinted moisturiser if you want to go in-between natural and covered up - you want to try that barely there look but you want to security and comfort of not feeling totally bare faced. As you can see below, it's so easy to build the coverage. It makes my skin feel luminous whilst feeling moisturised and I have confidence when wearing this rather than feeling too naked. Hooray for good skin days!
Chantecaille Lipstick - Can we talk about how beautiful this lipstick is? It's vibrant but not too vibrant, it's moisturising and you just need one slick of it to get such an intense colour. I think this is going to be my Summer colour. Sometimes, moisturising lipsticks are too moisturising and it means it doesn't last as long and the colour isn't vibrant, but seriously, with this, it's super moisturising whilst still being vibrant and long-lasting. Say hello to bright Summer lips!
Chantecaille Bronzer - I would be lying if I said this bronzer hasn't been everywhere with me recently - it's slick, it has a mirror inside it and the colour is beautiful. I am a fan of bronzers that aren't bulky, ones that I can just grab and throw in my bag. I love the slickness of this case and the simplicity of the colour. It's not too sparkly either. I hate awfully sparkly bronzers.
You can shop the collection online here.
All in all, I do love these products but they are of a higher price range. If you are someone who likes high-priced/designer products or if you're looking to splurge on a new luxury items, you should certainly take a look at Chantecaille. Personally, Burberry is my favourite high end product range for all kinds of reasons - you can read my review of Burberry's make up collection here. However, I would say the two brands are so different so hey, why not have both?
Have you ever used Chantecaille? Have you ever heard of Chantecaille? Do you like the look of these products? Are you enjoying my brand spotlight posts?
*These products were sent to me to review but as always, this is 100% my honest opinion.
Lots of love, Em x
