Bourjois always seem to get it so incredibly right with their stunning launches and I am crazily in love with their Color Boost and Color Band ranges (even if I am a little bit behind writing about these but it always takes me a while to really play around properly with products). If I wasn't already stupidly excited for Summer, I am now. Let's talk about pretty new shades and gorgeous new products because I feel like I haven't done a beauty review for a little while!
Let's start off with the Color Band eye shadows/pencils - I like how easy these apply, you just basically draw a line with them and then blend however you would like (they blend so easily but they're not greasy). These are good for people who either can't be bothered with eye-shadow or don't have much time and just want some colour. They're meant to last for 24 hours and actually, I would say they last pretty well - they're also waterproof so you could use them in nice, sweaty temperatures too. I love the packaging, I think it's really neat too.
Colour wise, I've been wearing the brown all the time but I think it's probably a bit too bright for me (it's quite a coppery brown), I think I might start wearing the slate grey instead. I absolutely adore the pink and I have been using that on my lips too - it's so highlighting and bright - perfect for Spring.
Their Color Boost glossy finish lipsticks are perfect for Summer because they're SPF 15, waterproof and they last for 10 hours too. They are very hydrating and comfortable to wear - I'd say they're really easy and effortless to wear actually and they give a lot more colour than Clinique's Chubby Sticks.
I don't think the lipstick shades are half as nice as Bourjois usual lipsticks, they're pretty tame actually (I love their usual quirky and bright colours) but I find chubby stick style lipsticks never come out vibrant enough for me because they are very glossy - they're definitely more of a Summer or day time thing. I think these are perfect for Spring because they're hydrating, glossy but not sticky and they still have a good vibrancy, but they're not too much. You could easily wear these in the day without looking over done.
You can buy Bourjois ColorBoost Lipsticks online here (£8.00 each) and the ColorBand's online here for just £5.99. These were kindly sent to me but as always it's my honest opinion of course.
Do you like Bourjois? Do you always like their new releases? Do you like the look of these? How do you feel about 'Chubby Stick style' lip sticks and easy to do eye shadows?
Lots of love,
Em x
