Ah hello hello! How is July over already? Now that, is, crazy and kind of scary. I'm pretty sure Summer hasn't even started yet?! You may have already seen my favourites video, but I wanted to also do a post to go along with it (plus there are some extra special hidden gems in here which didn't feature in the video!). I feel like I haven't done a favourites post for quite some time but there are a few things which have really stood out to me, not even just this moth but over the past few months so I wanted to talk to you about these amazing bits today! I love doing round ups at the end of the month and this may be my favourite yet. I feel like I haven't written about beauty enough recently so it always feels nice to ramble about some favourite products!
Make sure you watch my video below to get the low-down first;
Birchbox - I can take or leave beauty boxes but Birchbox has always been a firm favourite when it does come to them. If you're not into beauty boxes, you basically pay a fee every month and get a pretty box delivered to your door bursting with samples - sometimes they're amazing, sometimes they're not. Birchbox always tends to be pretty epic though and I've never been disappointed. This months box in particular excited me a lot as it's an Ibiza themed/holiday box. You know how much I love the sunshine! It didn't even come as a box this month, it came in a gorgeous re-usable make up bag/clutch/wallet which I much prefer! You can see the exciting contents of this on my video above! You can buy this travel box online here.
Bloom Matcha Tea - You may have seen me tweeting about this recently! I'd be silly not to feature it as one of my favourites this month as I drink this at least 3 times a day. I made the move to matcha over a year ago when I discovered Bloom online and I haven't looked back since. Matcha is an acquired taste but once you get used to it you'll love it - you can always add lemon in it too to make it taste nicer, I just think it tastes like stronger green tea. The health benefits of matcha are just incredible, it boosts the metabolism, it makes you concentrate more and it's meant to be much better for you than green tea (have a quick Google of the benefits of matcha and see for yourself!). I honestly couldn't live without this special powder! Simply add it to your smoothies or add it to hot water and mix it like you would with green tea. You can buy Bloom online here and I cannot recommend it enough.
Jo Malone - I'm going to say Jo Malone as a brand is a favourite this month as they really have blown me away with their gorgeous new launches. I haven't taken their Mimosa & Cardamom cologne out of my handbag this month, it's inspired by travel which means it's right up my street. I just smell it and feel instantly happy, it's not too strong and it has a really sexy smell to it but it's quite tropical at the same time. Not only do Jo Malone products look stunning in any bathroom, handbag or bedroom, they smell incredible too. I am officially hooked to Jo Malone and will be lusting over every single item. I want my bathroom to be full of Jo Malone!
Vita Liberta Rich Face Tan - I actually got this in shade light and should have probably gone for medium but even in a light shade, this is still good enough to give a lovely colour. This is a really great face tan, it gives a nice glow, it doesn't make you break out at all (the most important thing for me when it comes to face tans!). I like to put tan on my face because I feel like it just makes me glow underneath my make up all day long. I also just feel way more confident with a face tan because my face tan seems to fade the quickest out of them all. I haven't really used Vita Liberta before but I am impressed - streak free, spot free, nice smelling and just a pleasure to apply - smooth and easy. You can buy this online here.
TooFaced Melted Metal Lipstick - TooFaced are one of my favourite brands of all times and their new Melted Metal lipsticks are absolute staples in my bag at the moment. You may remember them from my Handbag Essentials blog post and yup, they're still there in my handbag saving me every day when I need a lip top up! For the past month I've been applying my trusty MAC whirl lipliner and then putting this over the top for a nice, natural, neutral but metallic look. My lips look bigger but have a nice metallic look to them without being too sticky and shiny. You can buy this online here.
Decleor Aroma Nutrition Satin Softening Dry Oil - If you read my blog a lot you'll know that I adore body oils, Decleor is a brand I've always wanted to use as they're basically famous for their amazing skincare and oils. This month I've been using them so much - as you know I am obsessed with body oils, like obsessed - body oils are my new beauty staple as they just make the skin glow so much! I am loving this oil (which you can use on the hair and face too!) as it's natural and packed with amazing ingredients. It gives my skin such a gorgeous, hydrated, JLO glow. It makes me want to get my legs out all day every day. You can buy this online here.
Urban Decay - Urban Decay's new products are epic. Need I say more? Urban Decay are so much more than their Naked palettes. I haven't stopped wearing their Afterglow blush in Kinky all month, it's such a gorgeous, cheeky shade which gives the most amazing colour, such a vibrant flush. Their eye shadows are perfection too, I love the iridescent colour of Fireball so much that I've been using it at the top of my cheek bones too!
Nars Dual Intensity Blush - I am loving intense blushes this month (I'd be lying if I didn't say they're getting me a little bit excited for Autumn...) and Nars new Dual Intensity blushes are literally heaven. I love how compact they are, they feel so sturdy!? Mainly though, have you ever seen something so stunning? This can certainly be used everywhere though, it makes a lovely eye shadow and adds a gorgeous highlight to the cheek bones too. Nars have really upped their game with their new launches recently and I seriously cannot get enough! You can buy this online here.
Vichy Purete Thermale - Everyone is using this at the moment and I can see why, it's amazing! Vichy is one of my favourite brands, it has been for years. I used to rush to Paris to buy so much of it and now it's available (and has been for quite some time) in the UK - hooray. Vichy Dermablend is my all time favourite foundation (I think I need to do an updated review of it!) so I knew this was going to be good too. As a brand, they just never get it wrong really and I trust them so much - French beauty at it's best! You can buy this online here.
Neom Candles - Ah I am such a sucker for a nice candle and Neom always deliver. I have always loved Neom and always will do, they've always been a favourite pampering brand of mine. This product is really exciting and I haven't used anything like it before outside of a spa environment. This candle brings the spa to your home. Neom's new candle is a skin treatment candle, you light it for 45 minutes like a normal candle (it smells incredible and is so relaxing so you go ahead and relax whilst it burns!) and then once you blow it out, you can tip it and massage it on your body for instant and long hydration. How cool and pampering is that?! Not to mention this is probably the prettiest candle I've ever seen in my life and it has real gold on it?! Once you've used the candle up (it lasts a few applications don't worry) you can keep the pot to put all your beauty products in! I know I'll be keeping this anyway, it's so gorgeous. You can buy this one online here.
Illamasqua Gel Sculpt Contour Stick - Even though contouring is apparently out and strobing is in at the moment, this contour stick by Illamasqua has to be a personal favourite. I don't like to make contouring too fussy- I don't want to paint my face, I'm not a trained make up artist and I certainly never have hours to sit down and really do my make up (I wish). I love how with this you can just draw and it's done. Contoured. Finished. EASY. Hooray for Illamasqua and this genius little stick of magic (you can also use it as cheek colour or lip colour too!!!). You can buy this online here.
Sassoon Hair Care - Hooray for Sassoon, my hair saviours. If you've been reading my blog over the last few months you'll have seen that Sassoon have completely saved my hair and changed it so positively - it feels thicker and just so much better (read about my time there here). I have had so many compliments on how my awfully weak, damaged hair has transformed recently (even if I do say so myself!). It's looking so much stronger, thicker and longer. It's been such a hard journey over the past few years (blame rubbish extensions!) and I know I keep saying it but my hair is finally getting to where I want to be and I put it all down to the amazing work of Lee and Valencia at Sassoon Leeds. I just want to shower them with so much love to say thank you as they've given me my confidence back. I can't wait to see where my hair growth/strength is in a few months time, I've put all my trust into them and haven't looked back - geniuses! I have been swearing by their products over the past few months, simple but effective. Imagine my delight when I saw that they do smaller sets, perfect for my trips to the gym and my travels! Yay! Basically, I cannot get enough of Sassoon this month. Huge shout out to this amazing salon.
