Hello! So today I thought I'd do a What's On My Beauty Shelf post. I use SO many products, some I fall in love with instantly, some take me months and some I just never really fall in love with. I have been wanting to kind of talk to you about my every day favourites for quite some time actually so that's exactly what I'm doing today. Let's talk about my daily/weekly routine!
Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm - I have been using Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm for so so long now - I use this morning and night. It's just the loveliest, hydrating cleanser. I am quite careful about what I use on my skin because I tend to break out if I use too many complicated products, I like to use natural things and my friend Kayleigh recommended this to me (her skin is always perfect!). It's a cleansing balm that literally dissolves make up (it even dissolves my eye make up) and it just feels like it's melting grime away. It's full of lots of natural goodness and I do feel like it gives my skin a nice, natural glow. It's anti-ageing but I was once told the best way to stop ageing is to use preventative measures so start using anti-ageing stuff before ageing happens! My skin felt so awful the other day and just de-hydrated so I actually slept in this baby! Needless to say my skin feels much better now. Available online here.
EcoTools Speed Blow Drying Brush - You may remember this from my top Summer hair products blog post and golly I have not stopped using this since I got it a few months ago. I have an Aveda hair brush which no joke, I have had since I was 15. It's just a nice, wooden paddle brush and has always been a staple in my life - this little baby may have just replaced it though! It is the most amazing blow drying brush, it's meant to speed up blow drying time because of the hole in the middle (it actually does seem to blow dry my hair very fast) but it's more the fact that it makes my hair smooth, soft and straighter than the messy birds nest I'm usually left with when I blow dry my hair. Available online here.
Skyn Iceland Arctic Face Mist - If you read my blog a lot you'll know that face mists are my favourite. Whether it's my Orico London, Liz Earle or The Body Shop one (three of my faves) - I always have one in my handbag. Most recently, I've been loving Skyn Iceland's arctic mist. I love mists because they just hydrate the skin. I always feel like my skin lacks moisture so I am forever spritzing these when travelling - trains and planes seem to ruin my skin! Available online here.
femfresh Daily Intimate Wash and Freshening Cloths - I know this is quite a well, too much information topic but it shouldn't be really. We all have them. You know what I'm talking about. I first started using femfresh when I was given it at an event actually. It sat in my shower and I was scared to use it but then I just decided to go for it. I was recently sent their soothing cloths (I didn't even realise these existed) and they're like face wipes I guess but for intimate areas. They have low pH balance for intimate, delicate and sensitive skin so they aren't going to irritate you or anything. I'd say they're great if you just feel a bit 'unfresh' after travelling etc and I would actually really recommend them. Online here.
Evening Primrose Oil - I have mentioned this so many times on my blog but I buy a new box of this pretty much every month. My Mum got me onto these when I used to break out badly during the time of the month - the doctor actually recommended them and said that they help to regulate hormones so I take 1-2 capsules every day. I find out if I stop taking these for a month that I break out really badly during my time of the month. Available online here.
Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil - Eek, this is brand new to my beauty shelf but I am so excited about it. I have wanted to try Sunday Riley for FAR too long now. I have sworn by Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Oil for as long as I can remember (I also read that Karlie Kloss swears by it too the other day!) but I have gone through at least 10 bottles of that now over the past 3 years and decided to mix things up a little, it is 2015 after all. Time to finally try Sunday Riley! This is quite similar to my Midnight Recovery Oil in the sense that it's a natural, over-night oil that should make you wake up looking beautiful. It's absolutely rammed with incredible ingredients (cold pressed avocado, chia, and concord grape seed oils, advanced retinol complex). After the first two days my skin looked brighter and happier. My skin is pretty horrible at the moment due to time of the month and I did notice it got rid of my redness quicker and my spots. I will update you on this when I've been using it for over a month. Online here.
Sassoon Halo Hydrate - I have been going to Sassoon salon in Leeds for the past few months (read about my experience here) and they have well and truly fixed my hair. My hair is finally growing, it's longer, stronger and is finally looking how I want it to look! My beauty shelf has been rammed with Sassoon goodies after my hair dresser Lee recommended them all to me. I use Halo Hydrate every time I blow dry my hair along with their heat protector. I am obsessed.
*This was sponsored by femfresh but as always it's 100% my honest opinion.
Lots of love, Em x
