When the Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette landed in my postbox I was so excited. We all know that Urban Decay do the best eye shadow palettes, there's no doubt about that. For me, I'm a huge lover of other Urban Decay products though, particularly their blushers and lip glosses (you'll know that if you've been reading EmTalks for a while!). My favourite Urban Decay palette is actually their Naked Basics as it's just simple and easy. The Vice palette blew me away though as soon as I opened it. Before opening it, I thought it would all be a bit too bright for me and I hate palettes that are full of colours I'll never use but honestly, this was love at first sight. Let's look at the all new Urban Decay Vice Palette! It's pretty special...
The packaging: I think because this was released towards the end of November, it has quite a dark/Halloweeny theme to it. I like the psychedelic packaging and think it's really different to their normal palettes. It even comes in a gorgeous little zip up bag too. I think I'll be keeping this to store my brushes in!
The colours: I was so excited at first glance to see so many nice colours. Sometimes I think palettes are either way too samesy and neutral or just way too bright. The Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette seems to have the perfect range of colours in it. It's nice to see some neutral colours in there though like 'Bones' and 'Framed', nice neutral pearly colours.
I think 'Fast-Ball' has to be my favourite; a metallic peachy pink with pink micro-glitter.
I love 'Flame' too; a bright orange with gold micro-glitter.
How pretty is 'Arctic'? A bright teal with a little bit of sparkle.
The thing that I love the most (apart from the amazing colours) are the brushes that come with Urban Decay palettes! I love how sleek the brush is and that it's double ended, it's honestly the perfect tool for eye-shadow application. Usually the brush that comes with palettes is a let down but I find Urban Decay brushes to be the best for blending and applying eye shadow with.
So there we have it - a quick look at the new Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette! I hope you love it as much as I do.
You can buy it here online now for £43.00, whilst that sounds expensive (put it on your Christmas list) you get 20 shadows, meaning it costs around 50p per colour, pretty good when you put it like that!
Do you like Urban Decay products? Do you like their palettes? What do you think of this one?
Lots of love, Em x
