In October I was lucky enough to visit New York with my good friend Victoria and Clarisonic. We were invited to New York to celebrate the launch of the new Clarisonic x Keith Haring cleansing brush (more on that soon but it launched in the UK on nov 1st yay) so today, I wanted to invite you for a little wander around New York and show you what we got up to...
We flew first class with Virgin - the highlight was definitely afternoon tea and cheese and biscuits on the plane.
I took a number of travel essentials with me on the plane and here are a few that I got out mid-flight. Kiko's new contour set is honestly the most amazing make up item when it comes to brightening up and perking up the face. I tend to put it in the corner of my eyes for a brightening look but you can pretty much use it anywhere. It's my number 1 secret tool for faking an awake look after a long day! Nuxe Reve De Miel lip balm is one of my all-time favourite products, it's natural and it keeps your lips so so smooth. We all know that flying can make everything so dry so I pile this on my lips (and actually want to pile it all over my body too) when flying. I'm not really sure if Kiehl's Skin Rescuer suited for my skin type (I finally went for a proper consultation at Kiehl's yesterday and it was amazing!) but my skin has been really unhappy at the moment (weird underneath spots all over my jaw and cheeks and I have no idea why?!) so I've been using this to try get rid of the redness and calm it down. It's designed for tired, dull, dehydrated skin and that's me! Lastly, I used Clinique's Super Defense eye cream. I'm always so tired and still on the look out for my dream under-eye cream!
First, we wandered around West Village. One of my favourite areas of NYC. It's quaint, residential but also full of the most gorgeous little stores.
The weather was surprisingly good for October so I put this gorgeous little dress on by Motel, online here. It's so easy to wear and I am obsessed with nude coloured dresses. Motel have the most amazing things on their site at the moment. I teamed it with my Birkenstocks, trusty leather jacket, Burberry bag and LVNDR jewellery.
I am obsessed with the new LVNDR jewellery - you should definitely check it out as the site has completely re-launched! I hope you love it as much as I do.
We wandered further until we reached Jack's Wife Freda. A cute little brunch place I've wanted to visit for as long as I can remember.
We chatted as we sipped on our fresh watermelon juice (aka, the tastiest thing ever).
and then devoured half of New York's avocado supplies.
I love just strolling around New York. I love the streets.
We arrived at the most gorgeous Louis Vuitton store in Soho and I instantly fell in love.
A quick outfit change and it was time for dinner.
You may remember this outfit from my New York outfit of the day blog post, online here if you missed it.
Playsuit / Leather Jacket / Sunglasses / Bag
We ate dinner at one of Karl Lagerfeld favourite restaurants - I wish I could remember the name sorry! We were so tired from jetlag we literally fell asleep so soon after this.
The next morning was all about over-sized French toast and lots of eggs before we headed to the Whitney Museum Of Art
We went to try and find some Keith Haring art but typically they'd removed it just before we got there!
It was well worth it to see such beautiful views of NYC though.
I didn't realise how much I'd missed NYC until I went back again.
Naturally we stopped off at 5th Av for some shopping afterwards.
I told you I'm obsessed with stacking my new LVNDR rings and bracelets.
It was a bit more chilly on our final day so I whipped out my Burberry scarf, new coat from PLT, this gorgeous Motel skirt and my cross-front bodysuit.
We got our nails done at a local NYC salon in Keith Haring style design (ready for the party I'll be telling you about on my next post).
Wearing all LVNDR rings again of course. The new 925 sterling silver range is my favourite and makes a perfect Christmas present or treat to yourself.
A visit to NYC wouldn't be complete without a visit to The Egg Shop. I've never had such a good hash brown in my life.
I still have another NYC post to come and lots more about the Clarisonic, so keep an eye out! The new Clarisonic X Keith Haring has now launched - you can get it here! I miss Victoria and New York already (and I was only with Victoria yesterday haha!)
