Frank is one of those epic brands I've wanted to try for as long as I can remember. If you follow me on social media (@emshelx, come say hello!), you'll know that I'm a lover of all things Australian, in fact, I feel like I probably should have been born in Australia. I am forever buying Australian products and Australian clothes. It's safe to say then, that Frank was at the top of my list to try. Let me introduce you to the wonderful, natural, beautiful world of Frank...
So, a little bit about Frank for those of you who haven't already stalked them on Instagram. I first heard about them because pretty much every incredible Aussie beach babe I follow swears by the range. It's basically a coffee-based skincare/body range, featuring all natural coffee scrubs for the face, lips and body as well as caffeinated moisturisers. But why coffee?
According to Frank, coffee is great for the skin for three reasons:
- Caffeine stimulates blood flow - which can aid in collagen production.
- Coffee has the same PH as your skin - so it won’t damage or dry out skin as some other products can.
- Coffee is high in antioxidants - which target free-radicals that cause skin imperfections.
First, I want to talk about Frank's hero, cult and original product, their coffee scrub. Designed to scrub away dry, flaky sky and target skin conditions such as cellulite, stretch marks, eczema, acne and scarring, it's packed with roasted and ground robusta coffee beans as well as brown sugar and sea salt to smooth away lumps and bumps. It also has cold-pressed sweet almond oil in it to relieve dry skin and improve the skin tone. It's clear then that this little genius packet is full of body-loving things but mainly, natural, kind to skin ingredients. If you read my skincare journey post you'll know I'm all about natural products. I love nothing more than exfoliating my skin, it leaves me feeling soft, smooth and ready to glow. I exfoliate my body at least 3 times a week, usually before tanning as I find my tan applies much better to smooth skin.
This is hands down one of the best exfoliators I've used, mainly because it's actually all natural and it isn't too harsh on the skin. I feel like I'm fixing my skin and putting goodness onto it which is so important.
Next up, frank body balm. The balm is a post-scrub treatment (so these two babes work collaboratively for perfect skin), targeting skin imperfections as well as improving the appearance of wrinkles and redness by increasing the production of collagen and elastin. This is a natural contour which compliments your make up routine too. I find my make up goes on smoother and looks more glowy when I've used this beforehand. The balm is packed with coconut oil, grape seed oil and sweet almond oil to help heal inflamed skin. As well as being packed with vitamins A, E & D to moisturise and strengthen the skin whilst restoring sun damaged skin or problematic skin. Lastly, it's full of ethically sourced beeswax which will provide a long-lasting protective coat that shield skin from external elements. Phew, that's a lot of goodness in a little tube.
So why do I love Frank? Not only is the packaging beautiful and quirky (almost too beautiful to use), they look incredible in my bathroom, but their ethos is simple: natural, beautiful, ethically sourced products which will leave your skin feeling and looking beautiful. My only issue? I'm running out and want more supplies, the balm is like a dream to apply; soft, beautiful and it leaves me glowing and the scrub leaves me ready to take on the day and eliminates any dryness. Where can I sign up for a lifetime supply? I'm working out hard, eating well (read all about my top health and fitness tips here) and using this weekly and I already feel great. I honestly can't recommend this brand enough for beautiful skin.
