Hello hello! Ah so it's one of my favourite things to write today, my updated, haul of everyday essentials! I feel like I haven't written one of these in quite some time so I'm excited to be publishing this post today. The contents of my must-haves seem to change month by month but there are always a few items which make it into my bag every time. Today I wanted to talk you through my every day must-haves at the moment and trust me, there are some goodies in this one! A survey by Sure Maximum Protection antiperspirant revealed that we Brits take and share an average of three selfies per week (I am guilty of taking at least 20!), relying on ten must-have products to give them the maximum feel good effect with women using up to 40 essentials to give them the necessary confidence to, so today I wanted to talk you through my every day must-haves at the moment and show you some of my every day beauty essentials, trust me, there are some goodies in this one!
First up, and probably my most important every day item, Sure Maximum Protection antiperspirant. If you read my blog a lot you'll know that I am a huge lover of the brand. It makes me feel fresh and comfortable all day and I know I won’t get sweaty whilst wearing this, even if I am about to do a spinning session! Don't forget you can check out my gym routine!
Sure Maximum Protection really does fill me with confidence every day, have you ever stepped foot in the gym and realised you forgot to put antiperspirant on? I have and I just left straight away because I felt so self-conscious! It enables me to just get through every single day, sweat-free! This is coming from someone who sprints around everywhere like a mad woman. Sure did some research recently and found that body odour and sweat is a top daily concern (51%) for people in the UK. So thank you Sure Maximum Protection, for always protecting me. It's a must-have essential and easy to apply cream-stick format. It's also the brands most powerful sweat protection trusted by 9/10 women* which is probably why it always leaves me feeling so fresh and confident!!!
*Based on a survey of 208 UK women who tested the product
Next up, Flowerbomb! Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb perfume has been my number one perfume since I was about 15. It brings back so many happy memories, I receive Flowerbomb religiously every year as a gift from my loved ones. It's probably my favourite Summer scent so for that reason alone, it's made it back into my beauty bag for the foreseeable future as Spring is finally, almost around the corner. In March, exclusive to Selfridges, you could get your Flowerbomb handpainted like this one above to celebrate Mother's day! How lovely is that? I find Flowerbomb perfume is way too pretty to use and I always tend to keep it on my desk and just look at it, I cherish Flowerbomb so much. Not to worry though if you missed out on the handpainting, there are loads of beautiful Flowerbombs available online here, I want all the new ones now too!
YSL Rogue Volute Shine lipsticks are thoroughly in my make up bag this month and certainly will be all Spring and Summer long. I can't possibly choose a favourite shade (you may have seen me show these off on my Snapchat and Instagram recently - my username is emshelx on both if you want to come say hello by the way!) so today I decided to show you this beautiful one to match my roses. The lipsticks are light-weight, easy to wear, with a very light look to them - more of a super light shiny colour than a deep colour but I love them all. They're perfect to wear for brighter months and I feel like they moisturise my lips too. I find so many lipstick dry my lips out but this formula is just beautiful. These are the lipsticks that every girl needs in her bag. Have you ever seen something so beautiful? Nope, me neither.
Giorgio Armani Maestro Eraser - I'm loving this under-eye concealer by Giorgio Armani at the moment, (you may remember this from my April favourites post) mainly because it's so light-weight but has really great coverage too. I keep using it on other parts of my face too and not just my under eyes. I seem to be suffering from horrendous under-eye bags at the moment because I'm just not getting anywhere near enough sleep. This comes out and it's like a liquid, I was expecting it to be a lot thicker but actually, it feels as if it soothes my under eye area and hydrates rather than just coating it in a cakey layer! It's designed to be a dual-action formula which not only brightens the eye area but it corrects the appearance of dark circles too whilst moisturising, it's basically skincare mixed with make up which is exactly what I look for in beauty products nowadays, something which fixes, protects and conceals all at the same time! This ticks all those boxes.
Speaking of under-eyes, I couldn't not feature the Touche Eclat by YSL in my everyday beauty essentials post. I go back to this product time and time again. It speaks volumes that one is sold in the UK every 10 seconds (I've definitely read that somewhere). I don't find this conceals as well as the Armani one but I find it's amazing for a wake-me-up highlighted look and I honestly use this item every single day and have done for as long as I can remember. I am obsessed with this personalised 'All Lights On Me' version! Designed for the party girl, I've never seen something so beautiful.
Topshop's Everything Stick is something everyone needs in their make up bag. It's truly become an essential for me recently. It can be used on the eyes, lips and cheeks and I haven't taken mine out of my make up bag! It's incredible, soft and long-lasting! It's possibly one of my favourite lip items at the moment too.
This Meteorites Compact is incredible, not just to look at. It's made with finely crafted pearls (incredible or what) and is designed to ensure radiance with its corrective matte shades. I've been a Guerlain lover for a long long time and Meteorites drew me in straight away. This compact is my favourite yet though. Hello beautiful, natural radiance. I feel like every make up bag needs Guerlain in it.
When Spring comes, I'm all about boosting, radiant lifting BB creams. If I'm not using Laura Mercier (hands down one of the best for gorgeous primers and tinted moisturisers) you'll find me swooning over this gorgeous Guerlain Multi-Perfecter. Guerlain's BB cream (Peau Beauty Booster) creates an illusion of a perfect complexion, with a combination of 5 actions: hydration, protection, radiance, correction and an even complexion. Basically everything you want in one tube and my absolute dream formula, light-weight, build able coverage but it looks beautiful and radiant. I love using things which are working on my skin underneath too and this is exactly what this does. Guerlain do it again. I'm sure you all know because I mention this every single day but Guerlain is one of my ultimate brands for so many reasons and their new products are just heavenly.
This Burberry illuminating face powder is one of the most beautiful items to grace my make up bag in a long time. If you've been reading my blog for a long time, you'll know that I just adore Burberry beauty (and my Burberry bag, but that's another story for another day). This is their limited edition Spring/Summer 2016 Runway palette. It's a lightweight powder which is meant to illuminate the skin with it's buildable, flattering, highlighting formula. I love golden shades particularly for Summer and this gives the perfect glow. You can define your complexion by sweeping this anywhere on the face and I cannot recommend it enough. The lace inspired pattern is inspire day the delicate fabrics from the womenswear too which make this even more special. You can buy it online here.
Dr.Do Good's In Shower Body Moisturiser is like a life saviour, seriously. I absolutely love feeling moisturised and wish I had the time to moisturise my body, head to toe every single day but unfortunately I don't and also, I hate waiting around and feeling greasy and sticky. You literally shake it, spray yourself in the shower and then wash it off and you're done. I wish this came into my life sooner. It's quick, convenient and so easy to use. Obviously your skin doesn't feel like you've just coated moisturiser all over it but my skin does feel noticeably smoother with this. Bravo!
Last but certainly not least, Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate. I am obsessed with this, it's basically the day version of my trusty Midnight Recovery Oil and I can't get enough. It revives me in the morning and it's fully natural. It makes me feel hydrated and I feel like it just fixes my skin for the day ahead. You can read more about it on my blog post all about my skin care routine and my drama getting rid of underneath skin spots!
Do you use any of these products? Do you like the sound of any of them? What's in your beauty bag?
