Hello hello! I've written this post over 5 times and for some reason, my computer keeps deleting it! 6th time lucky. If you've been following along with my travels you'll know that I recently headed to Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur for the most incredible trip ever. I'm so excited to finally share it with you!
We checked into Lanson Place serviced apartments/hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Hands down one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed at. We booked it through Small Luxury Hotels, if you're looking for a special hotel, definitely check them out. I cannot recommend them enough. Our room had the most incredible views of Kuala Lumpur and was so spacious and beautiful. I'd happily live there.
After getting used to the chaos of China before-hand, it was really nice to sit back and relax in such a beautiful hotel. I cannot recommend Lanson Place enough if you visit Kuala Lumpur! One day I will buy an apartment in this block!
We headed out that evening for some malay food. It blew us away. Incredible flavours and succulent meat.
Breakfast the next morning was exceptional. Why even leave the hotel when the views are this good?
We hopped on a bus tour so we could get around the whole city. We headed up the KL tower.
I wore a Mink Pink dress which I cannot find online anywhere. You can buy the brand online here though on ASOS now.
We headed to the aquarium which is absolutely incredible.
After, I couldn't resist one of these incredible ice lollies.
The Petronas towers at night are so beautiful.
After playing pool in the hotel and doing lots of shopping (the malls in Malaysia are incredible), we headed up to the secret, or not so secret now, helipad bar in Malaysia. An active helipad by day, and an active bar and night club by night. We tried to get there for the sunset. Make sure you get there early, around 5.30pm to make sure you get a table. It was near enough impossible to get one when it opened.
We watched as light turned into dusk. My favourite kind of sky. Similar dress, online here and here and here.
The next day, we wandered around and climbed up to the amazing roof top. I wore this suede playsuit.
We jumped in an Uber taxi to Batu Caves. Yup you can use Uber in Malaysia! You can get a £15 free taxi with my promo code EMTALKS15 on the app any time! We were told that Batu caves is a must visit, if I'm going to be honest? It wasn't that great and it's pretty far out! It was good to see the monkeys though!
We headed back to our beautiful room and kissed goodbye to Malaysia. It's a beautiful country and next time, I'll make sure I head out of Kuala Lumpur and see some different places!
You can catch up on all my travels here, make sure you take a look!
