Life can be crazy and so busy that often, we (me included) forget to stop and take some ‘me time’. I’m all about ‘me time’ because it keeps me sane but actually, I’m not very good at doing nothing at all so instead, I took an afternoon to have some ‘me’ time but in more of an energised way. I grabbed one of the new Starbucks Teavana lattes (the mint and matcha one is absolutely delicious) and then ran some very nice errands and had more of an active ‘me day’ and wanted to take you along with me to see exactly what we got up to.
First, I got my hair done, if you read my post this week about how to find the right hairdresser you'll know just how much I love treating myself to hair treatments. I headed to Lockenego salon in Chelsea and had the new Redken Heat Cure treatment. It can help to repair damage from up to a year and I left with the fresh sitting in the hair dressers care, going for blow dries and hair care so for me, being able to take an hour out of my day to get a blow dry and treatment too really is one of my favourite things.
With my new fresh hair (can we please talk about just how long it's got?!) if you read my blog post all about how hair extensions damaged my hair, you'll know that it's taken me years to get my confidence back (mainly thanks to so many visits to Sassoon Salon Leeds) and I'm finally getting there with my colour and cut. I really wish I had the time to get a blow dry every day, it would be my dream so I really do feel relaxed when I find the time to fit one in. Next, it was time to get my nails re-done. I get them done at the Nails Inc nail bar and this time went for the most gorgeous pink glitter shade, perfect for Autumn. I went for gel nails because they last at least 3 weeks I find. I love nothing more than sitting and getting my nails done but it is time consuming so I always end up doing my emails on my phone when doing it!
We grabbed some lunch and then with fresh nails and fresh hair, went house hunting for our big move really soon.

It's safe to say, I love an active yet relaxed weekend, plenty of time to do some fun errands! You can't really call getting nails and hair done an errand but hey, someones gotta do it! I need more days like this.
Big thanks to Teavana for inspiring this post, I am so happy that matcha lattes are now a thing in the UK, when I lived in Canada I would get one every single day and finally, they've made their way here. Hooray for delicious drinks to warm me up as it's getting colder. Matcha naturally makes you more energised too, giving you more time to kick start and make the most out of your day!

*This is a collaboration with Starbucks but as always, it's 100% my honest opinion. I absolutely adore them.
