As someone who was born in Leeds, it always excites me to see the city growing (I talked about this on my latest vlog). I know I'm often travelling and split my time between London, but Leeds will always be my 'home'. It's a wonderful, under-rated city and every month it gets better and better. One day, I hope it will be a Northern hub. I once went to a talk with some entrepreneurs who named Leeds the 'Northern powerhouse' and powerhouse it certainly is becoming. Only 3 years ago, Trinity Leeds shopping centre opened and completely transformed the city. I stood there at the launch, a new blogger, so excited to be involved in such an epic event and monumental moment for Leeds. We suddenly went from a bit of a run down city, to a new, state of the art, cosmopolitan hub. If you've read my blog post about the best places to eat and drink in Leeds, you'll know that it's also a foodie heaven. I go to Trinity Leeds pretty much every month to eat at either Cielo Blanco or Angelica - two of my favourite Leeds eateries for very different reasons and they also have the hugest Topshop, so it's always a yes from me. Last week, I was given the opportunity to work alongside Trinity Leeds and style people up in Leeds train station. It was an honour to spend the weekend in my home city. Come see what I got up to!
We had the cutest little stall right in the middle of Leeds train station, ready to style up passers by with new items from the stores within Trinity (they have stores like Topshop, Next, Primark, New Look, Coast, Victoria's Secret, Hollister and many more), so there's really something for everyone.
We showcased the best of the high street stores at the moment and then styled people up and gave clothing advice. I used to work in clothes styling back in the day so it brought back good memories. We weren't trying to sell the passers by anything, we were there to purely show them what Trinity has to offer and style them up.
It was dangerous because all day I ended up falling in love with beautiful, new season clothes. If you read my top Autumn wardrobe staples post, you'll know that I'm massively into my Autumn clothing.
I'm a little bit obsessed with jumper dresses at the moment. You can check out my Autumn style wishlist here.
Yep, I may have tried on some knee highs!
I styled my first mannequin with neutral, Autumn tones. I fell in love with the jumper from Warehouse and the coat from M&S. The exciting thing was making people guess where the items were from.
I also fell a little bit in love with this outfit.
My coat, online here and similar here / My scarf, Burberry online here and similar here / Hair, blow dried by Lee at Sassoon salons.
I ended my styling session with this gorgeous dress. I had my eyes on it for so long, it's from Coast and so many people asked me where it was from!
I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to say hello, everyone who stopped by and to the Trinity Leeds team for having me and allowing me to showcase and shout about this wonderful city.
Leeds, I'll always love you! I'm a Yorkshire girl at heart! Check out the Trinity Leeds website here for more information about it.
Have you ever visited Leeds? Do you want to? If you have, did you like it? Where's your favourite underrated city?
*I worked with Trinity Leeds on this post but as always it's 100% my honest opinion.
