With January coming to a close (something I'm happy about because hello Spring, I'm ready for your warmth) I thought it would be nice to end with a little look at some beauty resolutions this year. I've been away for most of January so my New Years resolutions have completely slid (New York was basically me living on fries) so today, I want to revisit and refresh my resolutions because hey, it doesn't need to be the 1st of Jan to make resolutions and set goals. Let's do this.
1. Drink More Water - The most cliched resolution of all time but it's so true. Drinking water is something I definitely don't do enough of and something I need to force myself to do more. I'm just lazy when it comes to water which is crazy because it's so beneficial to us. How am I going to do this? Have a water bottle with me at all times, filled to the brim. Always order a jug of water when eating out. Stop being lazy with it!

2. Walk More - I know I said these are beauty resolutions but when I get out and about, and get fresh air I instantly feel like everything about me looks and feels better. It clears my mind and makes me feel so good wellbeing wise.
3. Do More Yoga - Similar to the above, on my recent post all about my top tips to zen this year, I said I'd love to do more yoga. When I lived in Canada, I did so much yoga and well-being wise I felt amazing because of it. I need to get myself feeling bendy again and it works wonders on my mind.
4. Experiment More With Colours - Recently on my new YouTube colours I've been wearing different lip colours. It's made me realise just how boring I got with my make up in 2016. I could probably write down how many times I wore a bold lip and I definitely stuck to nudes. I'm loving deep shades at the moment and can't wait to experiment more with my make up in 2017.
5. Keep my lips smooth - Just like moisturising, my lips really suffer with dryness and this year I'm working with lipivir®, it helps to get smooth and cold sore-free lips. Cold sores are an all year round issue and lip care definitely needs to be maintained in all weathers (I always find my lips get drier in Summer for some reason!) so it's important to start using this product from January. My easiest way to make sure I'm always caring for my lips is to put it next to my Kiehl's oils (which I use morning and night) and my toothbrush, that way I always apply it just before bed and first thing when I wake up. I've got a few to giveaway so I'm going to give one to my Mum so she can do this too!

6. Moisturise - Something I tend to only focus on in Summer, moisturising! I moisturise my face twice a day so why do I find it so difficult to moisturise my body? It's absolutely freezing when I get out of the shower and the last thing I want to do is make myself all sticky, but it works wonders on my skin so I need to make sure I'm putting the same kind of love into my body skin as I do into my face skin.
7. Sleep more - Just like water, sleep really is essential and it's something I only realised recently. Our bodies need sleep and just cannot function without it properly. There's a reason they call it beauty sleep!
8. Take more time for the soul - It sounds cliched but inner beauty is a thing too. I want to have more coffee (or water/tea) this year with likeminded individuals, I want to learn new things, meet new people and grow as a person. Em's coffee club anyone?!
9. Treat myself more - To minimise stress, I'll be doing little things such as not taking as much on, jumping in a quick taxi rather than lugging heavy bags across cities etc. I think it's important t ope kinder to myself. I'm also having more blow dries (ha) because they make me feel like a new woman. My fave places for blow dries? Sassoon of course, but if you're looking for a super speedy one, SHOW beauty is amazing and then Blush & Blow London is fabulous because you can get your nails done at the same time as your hair! Talk about effective!
