There's nothing I love more than spending a day in London. Recently, I've found myself splitting more and more of my time between Leeds and London. If I'm honest, I'm getting used to living out of a suitcase. Most of the time when I'm in London, I'm in exciting, but back to back meetings (I'm definitely not moaning, but sometimes, it's nice to just spend a day at home!). When Matt headed to visit this weekend for a cute weekend I couldn't resist seeing some of the sights. One of my favourite areas, and areas I rarely explore is Tower Bridge. It was perfect then that I was invited to a little Winter Wonderland with Swiss International Air Lines last weekend. Come join along. I hope you love these images as much as I do.
On those crisp yet Sunny days, I find London's beauty really shines through. It's such a busy city, but one with so much beauty. I have fond memories walking along the water-front with my Mum so it was nice to head back there this weekend. We stayed in Shoreditch an area I rarely stay in. I had no idea just how close Shoreditch was to the Tower Bridge area of London (only ten minutes in an Uber: use Uber promo code EMTALKS15 if you ever want a free £15 taxi). We hopped in an Uber from our hotel and before we knew it, we were seeing London in all it's glory. It was a little chilly so we grabbed a Starbucks to start the day.
Now I wasn't sure if we'd landed in Narnia or London. SWISS spent the day attempting to get the public involved in a live ski-lift queue ahead of the February half term, (reminding me I need to book another ski trip, pronto!). I seriously had so much fun on my trip in December and really want to keep at it to get better at skiing. They also enlisted the help of a Swiss etiquette expert to give Brits a cash course on Swiss skiing etiquette. I needed this because I plan on heading to Verbier this year! It brought back my memories of my incredible recent ski trip. I went from a nervous beginner to a lover of skiing, flying down the slopes. I know you'll all think 'told you so' but I genuinely didn't see the attraction to skiing and now, I totally get it. Facing my fears was the best way to do it.
We couldn't resist a little selfie by the selfie sign. Sadly we didn't win a luxury holiday (unlike those who joined the ski lift queue) but hey, maybe next time, I did walk away with Swiss chocolates (secretly one of my main reasons for wanting to visit Switzerland). I've actually never visited Switzerland on all my travels and know I'd love it. Maybe it's time for me to book a flight to Geneva?
Whilst the banks of the thames looked stunning, they were chilly so I fuelled up on hot chocolate.
I'd had a blow dry the day before at Blush & Blow, the most beautiful blow dry bar in Chelsea, I sit there for an hour and get my gel nails done at the same time as my blow dry. It's certainly the quickest and most relaxing way to get pampered top to toe. I cannot recommend the place enough. I'm happy to say my Sassoon cut and colour are still going strong too.
They had snow cannons blasting out realistic snow, it was almost as if I was back in Austria.
I had to throw a faux fur coat over the top because after a few hours my hands were frozen. I was still all smiles though. It's hard not to be when the back ground is so beautiful.
Jacket from Rare London but nowhere to be found online, so identical and similar online here and here / Faux Fur Coat /
A big thank you to Swiss International Air Lines for inviting us along! After, we headed over to Borough market (only a 15 minute walk) and filled up on a yummy jacket potato! It was such a magical day, particularly with the snow sprinkling everywhere!

Have you ever skied before? Have you visited the Tower Bridge area of London? Do you like the idea of visiting Switzerland? Where abouts should I visit?
