Today I wanted to write a blog post all about my favourite tips to transform your bedroom. I've been holding this blog post off for a while as they're not my favourite photos I've ever taken in all honesty. I keep putting quite a lot of pressure on myself at the moment to make sure I'm only posting content I absolutely love but then I thought about it and SO many people have asked about these prints, I've decided to just with it. I am so excited to show you these, I may not be in love with my photography here but I am in love with these prints! Again, I am really sorry this has taken me so long.
As most of you know, I absolutely adore the minimal look but my issue is I love the 'all white' trend far too much when it comes to interior spaces. I'm yet to conquer the modern but not cold look and always find my bedroom still looks a bit cold as I stick with trying to make it as bright and white as possible. I can't seem to find a trend I love enough with interior so I stuck all white, rose gold and a hint of grey here and there too! One day, I got a bit sick of it so decided I wanted to fill my bedroom with minimal prints but prints that made me smile or really meant something to me. See what I got below:
The map prints:
The ones I've been asked about the most! As most of you know if you read my travel section, I love to travel. I've always wanted a huge map to stick on my wall and put beautiful little rose gold pins wherever I've visited. I'm yet to find the map of my dreams yet so instead, I'm planning on getting a rose gold or white wooden world map made to stick on my wall when I eventually buy a house. For now, I bought these incredible map prints. I had to decide whether to choose my favourite places or buy a map of everywhere I've visited! I decided to buy maps for places that truly mean something to me.
I chose Barcelona because it's one of my favourite cities in the whole entire world. I have some really special memories there. Read my ultimate guide to Barcelona. I chose Montreal because I lived there for a year and it was such a special year. I chose New York because whilst I didn't love it the first time I ever went (I always thought it was overrated!), every time I've visited since, I've fallen more and more in love. I think it's such a diverse, special place. Read my ultimate New York guide. Last but not least, I chose Miami. Miami is another place that just feels like home to me, I am so happy when I'm there, it's such a quirky little place. You can read my blog post with a huge guide to Miami. I just think it's really nice and special to have such special places in my bedroom at all times to bring back happy memories.
The special print:
As most of you know, balance is something I preach about all the time. I think balance is so important in all aspects of life and I could not resist this beautiful quote. I loved it so much, I bought one for my bestie too.
The artwork:
On a different wall, I mixed it up with some pretty artwork. I think artwork/prints are pretty personal, I went for prints that really just make me feel relaxed and chilled.
So, the question you've all been asking, where are these prints from? The prints are from Desenio and I'm happy to say that I've partnered with Desenio who have kindly given my readers 25% off posters, use code EMTALKS - except on the handpicked category. Another reason I couldn't give the code out is because it's only valid between 27-29th June so if you want 25% off, do order now! You guys know I only work with brands I 100% love and there's no doubt about it, these prints are just incredible and so special to me. I can't wait to move into my new house and put them up on my wall together!
I really think a quick piece of something on the wall can transform your room and I was so surprised at how affordable these prints are. I've been looking for similar for years and they do tend to be very expensive! I even got the frames too from Desenio and they were so well priced too.
Other ways I transform my room:
Cushions: I fill my bed with cosy, comfortable, patterned cushions. It's such a good way to make it feel homely. A new cushion instantly transforms my room.
Throws: I love mixing my throws up, for example, wool in winter and bright yellow in summer.
Candles: I swear by candles for a homely but luxe feel, Jo Malone and Diptyque are my favourites.
Do you like artwork? Do you like the look of these? Do you have any art on your walls?
