Summer Beauty Essentials

beauty flat lay
I placed a pretty epic Summer boots order before heading to the USA for a Summer road trip and just had to share with you what I'd bought. Boots hauls are something we all still get *pretty* excited about, I mean, how couldn't we? I love nothing more than rushing into Boots with my little basket and coming out with so many new wonders. This time, I actually bought the stuff online, it was dangerous that's for sure. Within a day my products had arrived, I left this way too last minute but I'm so excited by these bits. I've decided to do this as a Boots haul/absolute Summer toad trip essentials post and hope you'll love it as much as I love these products. Let's just say, Boots holidays section has everything I needed.

1. Tan - I've never really talked about fake tanning on holiday as I always prefer to get a natural tan but recently I did a skin test with Garnier and it made me so petrified of going in the sun. I'm working on using more fake tans and then I limit my need to go in the sun and tan, if I'm already tanned, then I don't care so much about tanning over the top. You can still tan over the top of fake tan though so it's a bonus, it means you turn up tanned and leave even more bronzed. I swear by gradual tans and my go-to's from Boots are Palmers Cocoa Bronze, easily the best gradual tan I've ever come across (outrageously affordable too but it just doesn't smell the best) and then St Tropez Gradual every day lotion too. These are also great for maintaining your tan after a holiday too.

2. Moisturise - I'm a sucker for moisturising, particularly on holiday and Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess collection just smells like Summer. Their whipped body creme is one of the best I've come across. I urge you to go smell and tub and then buy the whole shop full. I love feeling super hydrated and this product is a definite yes from me.

Hawaiian tropic
3. Protect - It goes without saying that sun tan cream is an absolute essential. At the moment I swear by Hawaiian Tropic Protective Continuous Spray. I actually tweeted whilst in Florida about how great this product is. Gone are the days of having white marks and hard-to-rub-in sun cream, this is the easiest sun cream ever. You spray it on like a mist and it instantly dries. No more ruining clothes from sun cream and no more feeling sticky before getting changed. Spray, get dressed and you're good to go. I also bought the Garnier version of this too and hoping it's just as good! It seems non-sticky, ultra-light dry mist sprays are the trend this year and I'm so glad. I also swear by Clarins and Clinique sun creams which are also available at Boots.

4. Capture - Obviously we've got to capture the fun so I thought I'd mix things up and buy a polaroid camera. I was so excited to see Boots sell these. Everyone swears by the instax mini 8 so I bought this one with extra film so I can take it away with me and take an image when we explore each new place on the West Coast. I went for white because it's an Instagram dream. I did have one of these years ago and lost it so I'm really happy to have replaced it!

DIOR Bronze
5. After sun - After sun is just as important as sun cream. After you've put your skin through the sun you just repair it, I thought I'd give DIOR Bronze a shot, it gets rave reviews so I shall report back once I've used it. If the packaging is anything to go by, I'm in love. I didn't even know this range existed until I stumbled upon it on the Boots website.

So there we have it, a few of my Summer holiday essentials which will be coming on my road trip with me. I am so excited! Do you love a little Boots haul? Do you like what I've bought?  My blog post features products which are all available from here at Boots.com!
