Do you want to go to the seaside? One of my favourite phrases as a child and actually, as I've got older, I still constantly want to go to the seaside. Nothing beats the fresh sea air, the ocean breeze and the sand between your toes. I really appreciate the seaside. Today, a fashion post featuring a beautiful British seaside.
As much as I adore Barcelona, (read my ultimate guide to Barcelona), you don't need to go to Barcelona to see and enjoy the seaside. These photos were taken in Margate, Kent on a beautiful warm day. I put on my favourite new playsuit, grabbed an ice cream and was truly in my element. This playsuit is honestly a dream, I've worn it far too much already but I think it's so easy to wear, day and night. It's not too casual but it's not too dressy either.
I matched the ice cream to the pretty houses around Margate and, to my beautiful pastel nails.
It wasn't long before we stumbled upon some very beautiful town houses.
I've been working with Alex Benlo recently and feel excited to be finally sharing my new watch on my blog. A little bit about the brand as for me, when buying into a brand it’s important to understand it’s story. I fall in love with brands when I find out their stories and for me, Alex Benlo is a very special brand because of it’s lovely story. Alex Benlo was founded by Eric Loth, he founded the brand to build a legacy to his two children which really made my little heart ache, how lovely is that? He wanted the brand to connect their family achievements and values. As well as this, I love the creative inspirations behind the brand. I’ve visited Hong Kong before and loved it so much, the brand actually used the influence of cosmopolitan and dynamic Hong Kong as inspiration for their watches too.
The pink quartz is really special, it’s water-resistant to 3 ATM and has a 40 mm steel case, for me I love the transparent sapphire crystal. The dial is made from genuine pink quartz making it very special but then again, it is Swiss made so it’s the best of the best! I know I’ve already touched on the nature, but Alex Benlo really do believe in being the only brand on earth which tries to connect individuals to nature, no watch is the same as nature decides on the stones vines and colours. The dials are carefully hand-carved by sculptors with the best skills too. I’ve honestly never come across a brand who put so much love and passion into their products.
I love the pink, leather strap of my Alex Benlo watch, from the quartz collection. Alex Benlo draws from the strength and enduring presence of nature to make sure all their watches are unique. They burst with positive energy which is why I went for a Quartz one.
So next time you fancy an adventure, head to your local seaside, stretch your legs, take in the sea breeze and enjoy.
and don't forget to grab an ice cream too! Read my Margate travel guide and watch my Margate video below!
