I’ve been keeping something under wraps for at least 6 months now and I’m so excited to finally share what I've been working on. Let's start with a little bit of background, I met with a wonderful lady a very long time ago. She was working really hard in her day job and I was doing my thing too. She had crazy potential to launch something big and our hour long meeting ended up lasting a lot longer, let's just say we've been friends ever since. I love meeting people with drive, ambition and dreams and Tia, the owner of Roccabox has all of that. I completely believe in supporting others, (let's be honest, many women don't support each other) and I feel so proud when I see people doing well. Wind forward a year and Tia went with her gut and launched her dream business. It was a total honour to be asked to curate my own special beauty edit with Roccabox for the month of August. This is a very special, limited edition, only available in August (or until it sells out) box, entirely curated by yours truly. Open up for more, hint, I worked tirelessly alongside Tia to ensure you guys get the best quality brands and my favourite products in here which is why I am so excited about this. IT'S MY BABY! P.S, whilst I've got you, click here and sign up to my new newsletter. It goes out every Friday morning full of random bits and bobs just for newsletter subscribers. I'd love to have you!!!

Tia didn't just come out of nowhere, she has extensive knowledge of the beauty world and I love sitting and talking to someone who just understands and gets beauty as much as I do. The hardest bit for me was choosing only 5 products to go inside the box, whilst it may seem like a lot to you guys, I'm the girl that's absolutely beauty obsessed. I'm sure you all know my favourite brands include Clinique, Clarins, Smashbox, Elemis, Vichy, YSL to name a few. I really do adore so many beauty brands, it's my passion after all, but sadly I couldn't fit them all in the box.
What is a beauty subscription box? I'm sure you're no stranger to subscription boxes, and Roccabox is a similar concept: £10 per month and you get a surprise box filled with lots of lovely treats. I wanted to keep this a surprise and not do any spoilers but here is a spoiler, I'm gonna show you what's inside the box. The best bit? This box is worth over £40 and you're only paying £10 for it. I wanted to ensure you get your moneys worth.
So why do I love beauty subscription boxes? Firstly, I think they make incredible presents. On all my gift guides I always recommend buying a beauty subscription for someone as a gift that keeps on giving. Secondly, it's a great way to be introduced to new brands or products every single month. Lastly, it's a little treat to yourself every month too. If you've read any of my blog posts about me time you'll know that I think this is so important! There isn't a tie in with subscription boxes and they're easy to cancel at any time so don't worry.
So, let's talk about what's inside this months Roccabox eek!
Elemis Hydra-boost Day Cream - I've used Elemis for a very long time and always favour spas when they use Elemis products too (much like Seaham Hall recently). I also went to their penthouse townhouse for a massage and it remains one of the best massages I've ever had. From their cleansing balm to their candles, there really aren't any Elemis products I don't love. I'm currently using their new Marine Oil every night and loving it. For me, Elemis use top quality ingredients and I just trust them so much as a brand. Inside the box, you get their new hydra boost day cream, the RRP is £39 (if you get the full sized one) but this is definitely perfect for travel and will definitely last you. It's like a long, tall glass of water for thirsty skin and is super-nourishing. It's rich in incredible ingredients and I seriously recommend it. Shop Elemis here & buy the product separately online here.
Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Drivers Seat - (Full size RRP: £19) - I was lucky enough to be asked to help open Smashbox' new Covent Garden store, it was a total pinch me moment as Smashbox are a brand I've adored from the start. I remember loving them back when they were only available in the US and swearing by their primer. Now, everyone knows and loves Smashbox. I have a whole collection of Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipsticks so couldn't not include one. You get a small version but I never find lipstick runs out so you're all good. One thing I find with beauty boxes is they tend to send out ugly colours, I have to say, Drivers Seat is epic for day to night. This was specifically created to stay on all day whether you're drinking, kissing or partying, I promise, it doesn't budge! Shop the product online here.
St Tropez Self Tan Express Face Sheet Mask - You can't have an Em beauty box without a fake tan inside! Now, we all know I adore so many fake tans but at the moment, my ultimates are St Tropez, James Read and Tan Luxe. Some may say I'm a little bit of a fake tan snob, I've been using tan for years and feel like I've trialled enough to know what's good and what isn't! I knew I had to put one of the St Tropez Express Face Sheet masks in. This is a tan-infused sheet mask and it's something totally new and totally different. It's easy and convenient and tans your face to your desired depth of glow whilst hydrating the skin with hyaluronic acid. I absolutely adore having a face tan, it means I can go make up free a lot of the time but also, it glows through my foundation and just makes my skin look healthy and dewy. This product costs £8.00 for a single sachet so you've already got your money back! Shop the St Tropez Self Tan Express Face Sheet Mask here.
Nails Inc Nail Kale - Including a nail varnish was a no brainer. Choosing which one to include was tough. My favourite nail brands are Essie and Nails Inc and I can't choose a favourite, I love them both for different reasons. The reason I love Nail Kale (not just the cute name) is because it's the first nail care range formulated with kale, it nourishes protects and strengthens the nails allowing your nails to absorb it, whilst looking pretty too. I chose Claremont Street as the shade because I always go for nude pink or mint green nails, they make your tan pop! The RRP of this product is £15!!! You can shop Nails Inc Nail Kale online here.
Phew, so there we have it. A look into my partnership this month with Roccabox, something I am so proud of and so excited about. As you can see, the box is full of some of my favourite brands, exciting new launches and it's worth way more than the £10 it costs. Next time (if Tia will have me back!) I promise a fave hair care brand will be in there as that's the only thing missing! Skincare, lipstick, tan and nails - we covered most bases!
You can buy my limited edition August Roccabox here for £10.00. Do send me photos and let me know when you get yours!
Do you get any beauty subscription boxes? Do you like the sound of this one? What are your top products? Do you love any of these brands?
