Emtalks: The Best Spring Skincare and Bodycare Products

Oh hello hello, she's back with a new beauty post. Today I wanted to talk about spring skincare, one of the things I'm often asked on my Instagram live streams (emshelx) is about my favourite skincare, it's something I could talk about for hours. I am a complete sucker for skincare, I always have been and I don't think that will ever change. I am constantly on the lookout for new products and I do mix up my skincare quite often, whether it's based on how my skin feels or as a seasonal change, I'm always up for trying new skincare products, the skincare buff inside me loves it. I obviously have hero products that I will forever love (read my top beauty products of 2017 post for those ones). Today I thought it would be nice to talk about a few new in, spring skincare and body care products I'm loving. My skin gets dry, irritated and a little dull with the change from winter to spring, one day it's mild and the next day it's snowing and my skin really reflects the change in weather. I'm all about dewy, radiant and fresh skin so these are the products I'm currently loving for exactly that.

Simply Beautiful Collection - SBC Collagen Bath & Shower Creme - First things first, a brand I was introduced to this year and have quickly fallen in love with, SBC. SBC is a British brand and their collagen skincare collection is pretty dreamy. I always talk about skincare as in, facial care but what about looking after the skin on the rest of our body? SBC's luxurious bath and shower elixir are perfect for the busy person as it cleanses, hydrates, cares and moisturises in one, the perfect way to kick off your morning shower. It's packed with collagen, Kukui seed oil and passion flower oil for an aromatic lather which lifts away impurities but without drying the skin as it deeply moisturises too. Not only do you smell incredible (hello spring fragrance) but it leaves dry, dull skin feeling radiant. I notice my skin feels soft all day and I smell great too, it locks a natural fragrance in. Simply Beautiful Collection - SBC Collagen 3 in 1 Cleanser - Whilst we're on the topic of SBC, my new found love, they do facial cleansers too. I had to include their 3 in 1 collagen cleanser. This is a versatile and effective cleanser designed to remove all traces of makeup, dirt, oil and impurities. It is gentle enough to use on the eyes too and mildly exfoliates for a softer, smoother complexion. This is perfect for hydrating dull skin but also perfect when you want a thorough clean but don't have the time to use 5x different steps and products. You can buy it online here.

Bobbi Brown Illuminating Moisture Balm - One of my favourite products for a dewy glow is Bobbi Brown's Illuminating Moisture Balm. I'm a little bit obsessed with everything Bobbi right now, their products just keep getting better and better. This is their best-selling formula for a reason. The illuminating moisture balm contains pearl particles for an instant glow, it's designed to be a complexion-enhancing balm to deliver immediate radiance and hydration. I find this product adds instant moisture and luminosity but the best thing? You can wear this multi-tasker as a moisturiser, primer, mix it with foundation or use it as a highlighter. Guerlain Abeille Royale Daily Repair Serum - I don't think I've ever gone through a product as quick in my life as I have done with the Guerlain Abeille Royale range. I've always been a huge fan of Guerlain's make up and their skincare is just as good. Yes it's pricey but I really do feel as if the price reflects Guerlain's quality as every single item I've used by the brand has been top quality. I swear by serums and Guerlain's Abeille Royale is designed to be a daily repairing serum to leave the skin feeling plump and firm. It's formulated with honey and an exclusive royal jelly. It is meant to act continuously on every key level for complete firmness for a smoother and more refined texture whilst making the skin glow. Elemis Superfood Facial Wash - I have long been an Elemis fan and after going through bottles and bottles of their superfood serum, I was excited to see the launch of their superfood skin range. Elemis Superfood Facial Wash is exactly what my skin needs at the moment, a nutrient-rich, greens-packed cleanser for a deep cleanse. It leaves my skin feeling so refreshed and squeaky clean. This is a cocktail of wheatgrass, kale, and nettle to feed the skin with essential nutrients. It's a really interesting take on skincare but it leaves me glowing. It also has broccoli seed, avocado (hello avo on toast haha) and pumpkin seed oils to help balance the skin. I trust Elemis with skincare and this makes my skin feel even better than imagined. Simply Beautiful - SBC Collagen Day And Night Cream - Speaking of creams, inside this gorgeous little jar is an exceptionally good cream indeed. As much as I adore serums, often, I just want a nice, rich cream to soak into my skin. This won best moisturiser in the QVC awards so let's hope I never get wrinkles after using this! This is a rich cream containing collagen which obviously helps to hydrate, smoothe and soften dehydrated skin. I know some of you may be thinking 'why am I interested in anti-ageing' and I used to be the same but actually, it's better to stop aging in its tracks by working with the skin before it occurs. This product contains a powerful combination of nourishing shea butter, sweet almond oil, kukui seed oil and passion flower oil. This is designed for anyone concerned with the signs of aging. Clarins Moisture Rich Body Lotion In Magnolia - I had to include Clarins new range of moisturisers. This magnolia body lotion is just beautiful on the outside and even better on the inside. It's the most perfect spring scent and spring packaging too, it would make the most perfect gift. Magnolia's delicate floral notes make this product so appealing, it's just beautiful on the body and leaves such a nice scent. This is easily absorbed into the body and I absolutely hate sticky, greasy body lotions and this is a lovely balm that quickly soaks in for maximum comfort. I wake up the morning after feeling intensely hydrated, smooth and nourished and you can get dressed straight after too. This is definitely going to be my go-to body lotion this summer. Glamglow Waterburst Mask - It would be wrong for me to talk about skincare and not talk about Glamglow. This months Glamglow product of choice? Glamglow Waterburst. This is perfect for a blurred effect underneath make up and is available in three colours for a radiant complexion and colour correcting.
