Top Summer Beauty Favourites

summer beauty products

With every different season comes new beauty products, and I’m the girl who’s a sucker for seasonal products. I throw myself into Winter, Spring and Summer and I think, as a beauty lover, I get excited to see which new trends are coming through. Today I wanted to talk to you about a few of my current favourite skincare and beauty products for summer. Get cosy and let’s see which products have won me over this month.
Elizabeth and James dry shampoo

Elizabeth + James Nirvana Dry Shampoo
If you watch my weekly vlogs, you’ll know that I absolutely adore Elizabeth + James fragrances. I’m so excited that they’re now available at Debenhams too, so everyone can get their hands on the brand. I was a HUGE Mary-Kate and Ashley fan growing up (embarrassingly so) and it’s wonderful to see how the ladies have grown up to be reputable fashion designers. Elizabeth and James scents blow me away and I was intrigued when I saw they’d brought out a Nirvana dry shampoo. I wondered if it would just be a bit ‘meh’ as often I don’t really like body butters etc that come with fragrances but no, this product stands out entirely by itself. A dry shampoo that actually works and makes my hair look freshly washed but without that awful powder smell, it makes my hair smell like my favourite scent and it’s SO spring/summer-like. The packaging is also incredible too. You need this in your life.

Liz Earle Cleanse + Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, Mimosa + Angelica

Liz Earle Cleanse + Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, Mimosa + Angelica - I switch my skincare up a lot because it gives me the excuse to try new stuff but I’ll always have my holy grails. Liz Earle Cleanse + Polish is a product I’ve been re-buying for years and will continue to do so. It's no secret that this is a holy grail cleanser, I couldn’t resist the mimosa + angelica version, full of natural, including cocoa butter, rosemary and chamomile for baby soft skin and a gentle glow. If you haven’t used Liz Earle Cleanse + Polish, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s a great price point too.

Caudalie Make Up Removing Cleansing Oil - On the topic of cleansers, there’s Caudalie and their Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil, with moisturising grape and sweet almond for the nicest, deep cleanse. I absolutely love using oils as I feel they instantly make my skin glow, whilst deeply cleansing too. I also love how easy they are to use, the perfect quick make up remover. Caudalie products are really naturally derived too which makes me love them even more (my Mum swears by Caudalie too!).

Paul & Joe Illuminating Foundation Primer

Paul & Joe Illuminating Foundation Primer - I had to include Paul & Joe in this roundup because look at the packaging! Paul & Joe is such a dreamy brand and their illuminating foundation primer is the ideal make up base for warm days. It’s a mixture of base and serum so it’s epic for glowing, happy skin. I'm a lover of anything that combines my two loves, skincare and makeup. I'm also a lover of any priming products because I love that extra glow beneath my make up.

L’Oreal Professional Serie Expert Lumino Contrast Illuminating Masque

L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Lumino Contrast Illuminating Masque - I swear by L’oreal Pro for all my blonde hair needs, their silver shampoo is my favourite yet for vibrant hair and their caring ranges keep my colour vibrant and my hair strong. The new format of their Lumino Contrast range is beautiful for highlighted hair, it instantly gives my hair more vibrancy and makes my colour feel like new again. I get my colour done by Louise at Sassoon Leeds and I love what she does to my colour, it’s so vibrant and stays perfect for at least 12 weeks which is the test of a good colourist, it just gets better in time. Alongside Louise and her incredible colouring skills, I like to use L’oreal Pro to keep it vibrant and fresh between colours. Read my how to care for your hair blog post for more on this topic.

Lips - For the lips there are two products I’m loving at the moment, firstly eos balm because it smells incredible, good enough to eat (they actually just brought eos balm out in aloe vera too which is perfect for summer plus it's 80 mins sweat and water resistance). I love the cute little pink packaging but also love how easy it is to throw in any bag. Eos is enriched with jojoba oil and shea butter for hydrated and sun protected lips. I’ve always loved Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector too and their new version in rosy pearl is perfect for a day time summer look. I love their new packaging too.

glossier perfume

Glossier Perfume - Say hello to a Glossier scent! I lost my mind when I visited the Glossier Showroom in New York and got even more excited this month when I finally got my hands on the Glossier perfume. Simple and cute in size and style, but beautiful in scent. It’s dainty and perfect for your hand luggage. It's described as a sparkling, clean, warm scent. Hello summer nights.  Read my full blog post review of Glossier.

Dior Hydra Life sorbet rich cream

Dior Hydra Life Sorbet Cream - I’ve talked about Dior’s Hydralife range a lot recently and it’s because it’s so good particularly when it's warm outside. This is an intense sorbet cream and is perfect for nourishing the skin all day long. It feels so luxurious but lightweight and instantly refreshes my skin. It means your skin is always hydrated, no matter what the weather is doing.

So there we have it, a little look at some top summer beauty products and I hope you’ll love them as much as I do.

Do let me know if there’s anything you’re loving at the moment, are you into your skincare?
