What To Do In Pembrokeshire, Tenby + Saundersfoot + Win A Luxury Trip

When I think of Wales it brings back so many happy memories. As a child, I'd visit with my family every Summer and Mum and I would scope out the best Victoria sponge cake (always eating, even back then) whilst my brother and Dad would fly their power kites on the long, beautiful and pretty empty beaches. My favourite trip and one I remember so vividly is a trip we took to Abersoch, I remember sitting on the little sand dunes with my brother and feeling so happy, feeling as if we were in a totally different part of the world. I'm desperate to hire a house there and take my family back one day in the near future. We've always travelled far and wide as a family on planes and boats but what about hopping in the car or on a simple train journey to Wales? I always say just how beautiful Great Britain is and how much there is to explore here, right on our doorstep. Last week, I did just that. I hopped on a few trains and before I knew it, I was in a part of Wales I've never been to before, Pembrokeshire. Today I'm gonna show you a visual diary from my trip as well as talking about some of the top things to do when visiting Tenby and Saundersfoot. The epic news? One of you can win the exact luxurious, relaxing trip I had so keep reading to enter too. This is in collaboration with Visit Wales.
St Brides Spa Hotel
We stayed at St Brides Spa Hotel, a beautiful spa hotel tucked away on the top of a cliff overlooking the whole of Saundersfoot (a gorgeous little town).

I basically slept on top of a cloud for 3 whole nights and woke up every morning to the sound of the waves and the fresh ocean air. You cannot beat the fresh air. I instantly felt revitalised. I am a massive workaholic so it was a dream to step out to this view. The breakfast views in the hotel are beautiful too, you really will feel revived after staying here and soaking up the view.

Did I mention the St Brides Spa Hotel has an infinity pool? Yup. I wish we got more time to enjoy it! Even on a misty day, Wales, you are beautiful. The pool is heated so it was like paradise swimming around whilst we watched below.

We managed to prize ourselves away from the beautiful hotel and headed into Saundersfoot. Saundersfoot is full of cute little shops and even cuter houses (plus, some epic eateries: make sure you have dinner at The Mulberry - it was fantastic).

3 ice creams later...

Yup of course I found the candy shop and treated my family to bags and bags of candy and then ended up eating most of it before it made its way to them! I absolutely love supporting independent stores so always ensure I buy little gifts when I go to small towns and this sweet shop was the perfect place to buy gifts.

You haven't been to the seaside until you've had freshly baked, hot doughnuts. I think these were the best I've ever tasted and trust me, this girl knows a good doughnut. You cannot beat seaside doughnuts!

The next day, we wandered to Tenby. I had absolutely no expectations and I was blown away. The beaches, the people and again, the incredible houses.

I wish I had longer to sit here and just soak it all in. This reminds me of the kinda beach we'd take my brother kite surfing on. I must bring my family back here.

Tenby beaches
Every time we drove to a new beach I was gobsmacked at how beautiful they are. Wales is just untouched beauty.

Tenby is lined with coloured houses and you just have to smile as soon as you see them.

We climbed up to the top of St Catherine’s Rock for even better views.

That evening, it was time for a sunset stroll around Tenby, matching my dress to the houses of course, in true Em style.

It doesn't get more perfect than this. Tenby is a beautiful, hustling little town, larger than Saundersfoot with so many quirky shops and restaurants, it actually reminded me of a more colourful version of York.

We couldn't visit Wales and not see some of the wonderful castles, you'll have to watch my vlog for the drone footage of this but Llansteffan Castle is surrounded by beaches and the ocean. It's truly stunning. On a bright day, you could have a lovely wander up to the top and a little picnic too if you fancied.

Wales, you've always been a favourite of mine but even more so now. I'm determined to make that Abersoch reunion happen ASAP with my family and Tenby, I'll definitely be back. I'm sure you guys know I'm all about wellbeing and for me, that means good walks, fresh air, good food, laughs and sleep and Wales, you helped me achieve all of that.

Now it's your turn to win the epic trip I had above. Find out more about VisitWales here. I am so excited to be able to give you your own epic slice of paradise in a place that stole my heart.
