Gifted press products and Ad affiliate links featured - Today I wanted to talk about a few of my current favourite face base products. I'm massively into glowing, dewy skin and I wanted to feature the products I've been using for a flawless make up base. These products are all exceptional, great daily products and many have skincare benefits too. I'm forever mixing up the products I use so some of these are lifelong favourites and some of these are new hero products. I'm including some of the top face SPFs, anti-pollution products, concealers, foundations and more to give you a glowy, flawless base.
Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Setting Powder Powder - online here - I've been using MAC Mineralise powder in shade medium for years and years, but when my supplies finally ran out this time around I felt it was time to mix it up and try something new. I grabbed Fenty Beauty's Instant Retouch Setting Powder because it's a mini travel size and I was away a lot at the time. It's superfine, silky and it sets my make up but almost blurs the skin too. It really is like a 'smooth' filter. I can't possibly compare this to MAC Mineralise as I feel that gives more of a colour to my skin whilst this gives more of a camera friendly blur (Rihanna deliberately wanted this to give no flashback). It's perfect for travel though and does make my make up stay on longer.
Collection Love Glow Jelly - Boots - online here - Who doesn't love Boots and going to browse all their beauty bits? It actually feels therapeutic. I fell in love with Collection's Love Glow Jelly during Summer and it's definitely coming with me all the way into Winter. This is a springy textured jelly that gives a radiant highlight and sparkle, you can use it on the face and body but I love using it on my lips for an extra glow!
BareMinerals Powder Foundation Brush - online here - There's no point having all of these amazing products without the right tools. A brush I am utterly in love with right now is the BareMinerals Powder Foundation Brush. It buffs foundation in perfectly and is so high quality (I just love BareMinerals). I mix between this one, an HourGlass Cosmetics foundation brush and an always trusty Clinique foundation brush. I've also been using RealTechniques for as long as I can remember. To be honest, I'm so rubbish with cleaning my make up brushes (judge me, I'm sure you don't have the time every week either) so actually, mixing between a few whilst my other one is being washed works perfectly for me. FYI, one of the best brush cleaners I've used is by Stylpro - their brushes are great too.

Note: a beauty spill shouldn't be full of perfectly brand new products, I'm quite pleased many of the products above are battered, it shows I've used them around the world, over and over.
SkinCeuticals Ultra Facial UV Defense SPF 50 - online here and here - One of the most important things in skincare (so I'm told) is wearing a daily SPF. I see people rave about SkinCeuticals and I'm so glad I finally started using their Ultra Facial UV Defense under my make up. It's important to look for an SPF that protects the skin from UVA and UVB rays, which cause premature ageing. This is fantastic as it is high SPF 50 protection (even in Winter the sun can get you) but it is also lightweight and easily absorbed, whilst making the skin feel moisturised. Often I find facial SPF's just feel far too thick and heavy on my skin, this is the perfect base.
Elizabeth Arden Prevage City Smart SPF 50 Hydrating Shield - online here - I've been using this since I first discovered it which was at least two years ago now. This is an incredibly advanced SPF 50 hydrating shield but the reason I love it is because it also protects the skin from pollution, as well as UV rays and visible signs of ageing. It uses pollution technology to create an invisible barrier to help prevent the penetration of harmful toxins and honestly, this is much needed in London. Rather than just being an SPF, this is more of a tinted base that does extra. This is incredibly light-weight, almost water like and leaves a lovely glowing tint underneath make up, unlike many white sunscreens and I feel good knowing that I have something on my face to prevent all the elements.
Erborian CC Dull Correct Cream - online here - Erborian are known for their CC creams and there's a good reason for that, they're epic. You may remember me writing a review of Erborian's CC Eye Cream - another favourite product of mine. Today I have to tell you about the new CC cream from Erborian, CC Dull Correct. I headed to a press event with Erborian for the launch for of this and just loved hearing about the science. This CC cream can be used underneath make up and is designed to automatically correct loss of radiance, even out skin tone and blur imperfections. Rather than being a primer or a tinted moisturiser it's a multi-purpose skincare treatment (I love anything that's going to treat my skin instantly or through the day under my make up). It comes out purple and this is because purple is yellows complementary colour, it cancels out yellow meaning it corrects dull skin. The purple pigments give automatic and easy colour correction for the skin, plus this product feels like it instantly smooths and softens the skin. This also has an SPF 25 in it but if you're looking for a higher SPF just put a few drops of another inside too. I find mixing this product works really well and it helps to revive my skin but leaves me with a nice glow too.

Marc Jacobs Accomplice Concealer & Touch-Up Stick Concealer - online here - Apparently Priyanka Chopra used this Marc Jacobs concealer on her wedding day so that instantly sold me to this product. This is by far one of the best cover-up concealers I have ever used. It's blended with antioxidant-rich snow mushroom extract and is designed to glide on smoothly and blur imperfections. In my opinion, this is the perfect thickness to cover any imperfections but it also blends beautifully and gives the most flawless finish. It's creamy, high coverage but doesn't feel cakey whatsoever. I've actually got to the point where I need to scoop this out with a brush because I've used it so much and I'm not afraid to admit that.
Nars Creamy Concealer - online here - Ask anyone about concealers and they will mention NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. This is completely different to the Marc Jacobs cover up stick, I'd say that's more of a medium to heavy duty concealer, perfect for cover ups whereas this has more of a luminous finish and is more light to medium coverage. This again, isn't cakey at all and is hydrating. It uses light-diffusing technologies to diminish fine lines and hide signs of fatigue, for me this is perfect for my under-eyes. This is also the number one best selling concealer in the US for a reason!
Vichy Dermablend Foundation - online here and here - I'm someone who likes to mix and match my foundations but honestly, Vichy Dermablend is a product that's been in my life for years now and I don't plan on ending our love affair anytime soon. I started using it in 2012 I believe?! and I honestly tap back into this almost weekly. I'm sure anyone who knows me, or watches my videos notices I use Vichy Dermablend pretty much every day (it doesn't need to be mixed with anything but some days I'll mix with Armani Luminous Silk, Nars Sheer Glow or YSL Touche Eclat foundation for something a little different - also three dreamy foundations but I could go on forever about dreamy foundations). This is Vichy's high coverage, long wearing foundation for a natural and flawless finish. I first discovered this when I was struggling with breakouts and I quickly realised I needed something non-comedogenic foundation wise. As well as being non-comedogenic, it is also hypoallergenic and paraben free too, meaning it's perfect for sensitive skin. Every time I wear this I am asked what foundation I'm wearing. It really is so flawless. It lasts for 16 hours (I never have to reapply), it conceals the skin without even needing a concealer, the coverage is buildable and some days I'll completely buff it out but other days I'll build it up. Even though it's high coverage, it feels comfortable and light-weight. Just a 5 pence piece amount of this on your brush will make your skin look flawless and even all day long. I hope this never gets discontinued. Shop Vichy's Dermablend and here.
