I have to say, when I think about Charlotte Tilbury I think about Pillow Talk, I feel like it was her original, show-stopping, sell out item, and actually the first product I ever bought from Charlotte Tilbury was her Pillow Talk lip liner.
You can read my Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick review and my Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Blush And Luxury Eye Palette review if you missed those. Pillow Talk is the original, universally flattering, nude-pink Lip Cheat and Matte Revolution lipstick and Charlotte used to mix multiple shades by hand backstage on the red carpets, on the runways and at magazine cover shoots to get the perfect, beauty-enhancing pillowy-pink hue. This long-lasting, trademark Pillow Talk lip is adored by the world’s biggest icons and is often cited as their beauty secret to cheating lustrous, natural-looking WOW lips on the red carpets, stages and screens. I really like it, but some days it's a little too light for me so the new range really excites me. Next Charlotte launched the Pillow Talk Blush And Luxury Eye Palette. So what's new in the Pillow Talk collection?
The idea of the new Pillow Talk range is that the collection has deeper and sweeter undertones to flatter all skin tones and all eye colours.
Charlotte Tilbury Instant Eye Palette in Pillow Talk, £60 - Charlotte’s sensational, best-selling Instant Eye Palette is back. You get four buildable, magical Pillow Talk eye looks, and 12 new shades. Yes, 12! I'm impressed with how many shades you get in the Pillow Talk palette and they're all genuinely shades you can use from day to night, plus it goes without saying the staying power and pigmentation is so good with all Charlotte Tilbury eye palettes. I always love Charlotte Tilbury eye palettes and I always hit the pan on her more orangey shades too. I love the idea of the palette taking you from day, to desk, to date. We love a versatile product. The desk and date section are my favourite shades but it totally depends on your eye colour! I have hazelnut eyes with a hint of green and I find warm, neutral tones work really well. You can see a break down of the shades below, pinks really don't work for me so I personally stick to the neutrals/beige/brown and corals. I know it's about how the product actually works but I also love having the dreamy, golden Charlotte Tilbury packaging in my make up bag or on my desk too. Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eye Liner (smokey berry-brown), £19 - I'm not really an eye liner girl unless the shade is golden or brown, but this is utterly gorgeous. I can't believe growing up I used to wear a black eyeliner, it really didn't suit me which is why I love this one because it's more of a berry brown and it blends so lovely. It's really bendable and is a dreamy, creamy-matte texture with a high concentration of pure pigments. You're better off looking at the photo above from the website to see how good it looks. The colour is honestly perfection for someone who likes a warm liner rather than black. Buy the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eye LinerPillow Talk Eye Liner
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk Medium (warm berry-pink), £25 - People swear by Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks and I'm so happy she's brought out Pillow Talk in a medium shade as I personally love a fuller lip look. Head to the site here to see how it looks on, I personally adore this shade as I am a fan of a neutral lip with depth to make my lips look bigger. This is uses Anti-oxidant Lipstick Tree & Orchid Extract to soften and condition the lips, gone are the days of drying lipsticks. Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks also use 3D glowing pigments to create a wash of intense colour, making them long-lasting, hydrating and moisturising. They also use Triglycerides mixed with a perfect blend of oils and waxes for added glide and comfort. I like to look into the science of products like this because obviously some people will think £25 is very expensive for a lipstick, so it's nice to see how much goodness goes into it, this is more than just a lipstick and I love this shade. Buy the Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Pillow Talk Medium.
Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lipstick in Pillow Talk Intense (deep berry-rose), £25 - As above, this uses Lipstick Tree extracts to condition the lips, leaving them kissably-soft, light-diffusing pigments to give you a luminous, full- bodied pout (I need this haha), as they capture and reflect light. The blend of waxes helps the formula glide over your lips for a seamless finish too. I never find Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks drying. Again it's best to head to the website here for more photos of this product on as lipstick is such a personal thing, for me this one is much darker and more of a night out shade, whilst medium I would wear every day. Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Cheat - I've only ever tried the original and the intense in this, unfortunately I don't have the medium (need to buy this as I know it's the perfect shade for enhancing my lips, I love to overdraw them) but Charlotte Tilbury's famous Pillow Talk lip liner, the first lip liner I ever bought, now comes in two new shades for the Pillow Talk range! You've got Pillow Talk Medium liner (warm berry-pink) and Pillow Talk Intense liner (deep tawny-brown) to compliment the lipsticks above - although I often use a lip liner to line and fill in, oops. Charlotte Tilbury lip liners smooth over texture for a seamless line, so you can resize and reshape the look of lips for a fuller looking pout and they genuinely do last up to 6 hours with no smudging and a waterproof formula means there is no transfer, plus they're great for eating, drinking and holidays! Colour wise it totally depends what type of lipsticks you like but when I was younger and Charlotte Tilbury first became a thing, it was the Pillow Talk lipliner I just HAD to buy! Charlotte Tilbury Collagen Lip Bath in Pillow Talk (nude pink) £25 - I'm a gloss girl so I have to say, the collagen lip bath in pillow talk is my absolute favourite from the range! Charlotte Tilbury knows I want plump lips and this really does the trick! Pillow Talk lip bath (or gloss) uses ingredients derived from the plant Portulaca also known as the “Kiss-me quick” plant. I love anything that promises to plump my lips whilst hydrating them too and this does just that, plus the menthol means it smells really nice too. You can see the ingredients below:
- Mustard Sprout Extract - hydrates
- Marine collagen – has a magical hydrating effect
- Vitamin A – for smoother-looking lips
- Coconut Oil - softening and nourishing properties
- Marula Oil - made from the fruit of the marula tree, which is native to Africa. It's rich in essential fatty acids and it also contains vitamins C and E
- Peppermint Oil – for a refreshing flavour
- Organic Menthol Crystals – create a cool feeling on the lips
- Pearlescent pigments – light reflecting to highlight and define the lips
I'd recommend getting the Pillow Talk collection as you get the liner and lip gloss in one set for a cheaper price.
Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre in Pillow Talk - £19 - The last thing I want to review from the Pillow Talk collection is the Lip Lustre. As I said, I am a gloss girl and oh my goodness, head to the website and look at how good this looks! It's a really thick, dreamy, nude but looks so good as it's light reflecting. In true Tilbury style, the ingredients are phenomenal, using Lotus Flower extract to soften and condition the lips! You can buy it online here.
To conclude? I love the glosses and the liners from the Pillow Talk collection, but that's just because I'm a gloss and a liner girl! I am incredibly impressed with the eye liner, the colour is utterly gorgeous and definitely suits my eye colour. I love shade medium in the lipstick as I find it's so much more flattering on me but I do think if you take a look on the website the photos do the products much more justice and you can see exactly how they will look! Lastly, the eye palette, give me all those dreamy neutrals, I personally wont wear the pink but I am here for the middle section!
