Hello hello hello, it seems the world has gone workout crazy which can only be a good thing (as long as you are safe distancing/working out indoors and listening to government guidelines #stayhome!) I have had so many requests to talk about my favourite trainers as I keep mentioning them on Instagram so I thought I would do a blog post discussing my favourite trainers so you’ve got a place to bookmark and come back to, with more of an in-depth chat. If you're looking for a good pair of lifelong trainers, this blog post is for you because the majority of them are discounted right now too #winning. Over the years I have worn SO many trainers, whether that’s for running, climbing, walking around New York for hours per day, crazy HIIT classes or wherever life takes me so I hope this blog post with my top trainers will help! These have all been thoroughly tested by me so hopefully this will help you find some good new trainers.

Puma Weave XT Trainers - I'm going to start with these trainers because at the moment they are the trainers I wear the most, albeit very battered now as I've had them forever and taken them around the world with me for holiday workouts so I am probably due a replacement! I didn't expect them to be as good as they are as they're very affordable and I've always been of the mindset that the most expensive, technological trainers are the best but I was kindly gifted them a very long time ago and felt white trainers looked better on me so I decided to give them a go and I've never looked back. These feel like I am walking on clouds, I have comfortably done MANY hiit classes in these (I train 4-6x per week) and I have done lots of runs in them too, they never rub my feet and they are cushioned, comfortable and soft but give me a lot of support. I didn't even really need to wear these trainers in that much but they are even softer and better now down the line. I have had a lot of messages from people who have bought them on my recommendation and they all say they are comfortable and like walking on clouds. I have followers who love them so much they've bought them in every colour! I love versatile trainers because when I am on trips I usually only have space for one pair and I'll want to ensure they allow me to train, run, gym and walk comfortably.
I get so many messages asking about the size of these too, they are true to size, I take my normal size in them. Sadly the white ones have sold out but other colours are still available online in the sale here and also online here and here

Adidas Ultraboost Trainers - I got these trainers about 7 years ago and dug them out recently for some longer runs (we're talking 10 milers+) and they are the most amazing running shoes. My step-dad is a really keen runner and he is forever telling me the importance of having proper running shoes, he actually says I should have different shoes for classes and runs and most good runners will tell you that it's all about very good trainers, ill fitting trainers can cause you problems. I am NOT an expert but I can tell you that these are fantastic for running when it comes to me personally, they don't give me any sort of blisters and hug my feet beautifully but feel very light too. They're expensive but the technology within is fantastic, I just really don't like the colour of mine and dream of the day I have some white Adidas Ultraboosts as I think they look way nicer than the purple ones I have at home (grateful of course for how good they are but they don't look as good as the other colours haha). Adidas Ultraboost's have probably long advanced too since I got mine, I went on a press trip to Barbados and some of the runners there were wearing them and told me they swear by them.
Size wise, you are meant to size .5 up from your usual size and I would say these are a very snug fit so yes, size up by .5 of your size.

OKAY... NEW ON THE BLOCK: If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to Ultraboost, that are literally BEAUTIFUL and feel like running on clouds, I highly recommend these ones. They come in lots of colours but I went for bright white, the Adidas lite racer CLN shoes are literally like clouds, can confirm I've never jumped so high in my burpees! Ultimate comfort. I've been on evening walks in them, burpees, cycling and they work for them all, plus they actually look nice. HOORAY. You can get them online here too.

Nike Trainers - I have worn a lot of Nike trainers over the years and for me, it was always Nike when it came to trainers, I used to do athletics growing up and I'd always wear a good pair of Nike trainers. I don't think you can beat the quality. I have a lot of Nike favourites over the years (and my boyfriend agrees with me on this one too) we both love the Nike Air Zoom trainers, lightweight and great for running and the gym. You can design your own Zoom trainers too online here colour wise if that's your jam. These are my absolute favourite colour in the Zoom trainers. If you're looking for more affordable trainers from Nike, people swear by the Nike Revolution and they are honestly so well priced for Nike. I much prefer this colour in the Nike Revolution trainers though but I do love a white trainer. For something a little more expensive than the Nike Revolution, these ones are meant to be good too for distance running. If you're looking for something soft, cushiony and comfortable from Nike, their FlyKnit trainers (and here too) are out of this world, again great for gymming and running. Lastly, someone messaged me to say you can get cheap Nike trainers up to a size UK 6 here, great way to save money on good trainers. In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with Nike, the technology and testing that goes into their products is amazing and you know you'll have their trainers for life.
In terms of more comfier trainers, I recently got the Nike Tanjun trainers and they are ultimate comfort goals for walking around all day in, I did a lovely two hour walk in them and ADORE them. The bright white ones look so good too. You can get them online here and here.

Reebok Trainers - Last but not least when it comes to working out, I couldn't not feature these as I do grab them and wear them for HIIT workouts or spin classes some days and they've been comfortable, flexible and lightweight. I have never had any issues with them. I can't find the exact ones online but I think it's these ones, they're super affordable. Again, I think Reebok quality is great, I have a lot of their leggings and they last me for years.

Adidas Stan Smiths - It's taken me years but I have also found the ultimate shoes for sightseeing and walking around. I want to look nice when I'm walking around on my travels, whether it's Barcelona or New York but because I like to see everything on foot, unfortunately it's a no heel boot zone for me and I don't want to be wearing my running trainers to be honest as I find other trainers are more flattering with skirts and mini dresses. I always opt for white trainers as I find them more elongating with the legs and they make your tan pop when abroad. I'm usually packing at least 25,000 steps in per day on my travels so I have to wear shoes that scream comfort and shoes that wont give me blisters. I once wore boots around New York and I had the worst blisters ever, so on travels it's trainers for me. Stan Smith trainers are of the comfiest and nicest looking pair of trainers I've ever worn (I am onto my 2nd pair now because I got so many uses out of the first pair but I think I need a third because these are battered now too! I've had them for over 10 years and always go back to them) I have VERY wide feet, I am practically a duck and these are very wide so almost made for my feet, plus they're unisex too so you can match ha. You can chuck them on with anything and know that you'll be comfortable all day long.
For me size wise I've always gone for my normal size but I'd say these do actually stretch a little but size UK 6 has always been fine for me.

Puma Cali Trainers - Last but not least, if I'm not wearing my Adidas Stan Smiths for sightseeing you'll probably find me in my Puma Cali trainers. I actually read Selena Gomez wears these trainers, so if you want to look like Selena Gomez, clearly the Puma Cali trainers are for you ha. I was gifted these years ago and they are the most flattering trainers ever, I'd say they look more flattering than my Stan Smiths because they're a little less wide looking and I quite like the narrow look. They look a little smarter. I love the chunky sole. I would say they are actually very hard to touch and feel but I never get blisters with them so they feel very comfy on the feet. I wore these every single day on my last New York trip and regularly do 20,000 steps around London in them and they are absolutely gorgeous. You can get Puma Cali online here and here too.
