If this is your first time hearing of Obagi, I'll give a little background (it was my first product from the brand too) - Obagi Medical is a global specialist pharmaceutical company founded by leading skincare experts in 1988, they have over 30 years of clinical experience and from my research, are huge in America. This instantly made me even more excited to try the brand.
So what are the Hydro-Drops? The product is an innovative serum / hydrator that provides an instant ‘pick-me-up’ for your skin throughout the day. I'd say this can be used day or night, I read many reviews where people say they like to use it as a night serum, but it could definitely be used in the day too. I love mixing and matching my skincare depending on it's needs and the great thing about this, like many oils / serums is that it can be used alone or added to your day or night cream.
The Obagi Face Serum is designed to transform dull and lacklustre skin into healthy looking, with an instantly hydrated glow and that's definitely what I look for in a skincare product.
On first look, I love the glass bottle and the pipette, it feels incredibly luxurious. On first application, my skin drinks the drops straight up. I pop a few into my hand then onto my face and my skin clearly needed a drink. The drops feel cool and refreshing on my skin. Each droplet is made individually and suspended to preserve their purest forms until the moment of application.
Benefits? Abyssinian and hibiscus oil are antioxidant rich and can apparently help to support the skins natural barrier. These ingredients are designed to help the skin look smoother, more radiant and more hydrated - to be honest even just from one application my skin on the surface looked radiant and glowed all day. Vitamin B3 is known for it's soothing capabilities, also proven to diminish fine lines over time.
Over time, this product is meant to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles so I cannot wait to keep using it.
I personally think my skin felt touchably smooth, looked noticeably radiant and definitely felt refreshed after the first application. This is designed to support your skin's natural barrier function and so far, I really recommend it. Obagi develop scientifically backed, clinical-quality formulations so I really do trust their products.
