Some Of My Favourite Things For Easter:
Roast dinner; If my flat was renovated in time I'd be cooking one up from scratch at home to mark the occasion but it won't be so I guess someone else will have to do the cooking! See if you can get one delivered from any local restaurants, I've blogged my best lockdown restaurants for food delivery...see if any of your favourite locals are doing roasts! Easter is such a huge period for pubs / restaurants who are now closed, again so you could really help them. You could even send a roast dinner to someone you love if you can't be with them.
Brunch; Make some lovely dippy eggs, avocado on toast or something a little bit more special for breakfast this Easter, or like the above, order it in from a lovely local restaurant. I usually have chocolate for breakfast on Easter, not gonna lie...
Flowers; I'm a sucker for flowers, particularly seasonal ones. I'm thinking daffodils and Spring blooms. Serenata Flowers do the most beautiful blooms and very well priced too, I got the most gorgeous roses with free delivery and have ordered my Mum some for Easter Sunday! Nothing brightens my day like a fish bouquet. If you don't mind getting spenny on flowers, you can send Moyses Stevens luxury spring bouquets... I'm personally a sucker for these affordable little heart shaped plants.
Chocolate; It's not Easter without chocolate for me... I always without fail have as many Cadbury things as I can possibly find during the Easter period, I love their limited edition seasonal items (Mini Egg bar, I am looking at you this year) and honestly their eggs are out of this world, you just can't beat them. If you're avoiding popping into the supermarkets and are looking to send your Cadbury online, head here they even do personalised bars. I personally always go for Creme Eggs and Mini Eggs because I'm a sucker for anything chocolate egg style, Matt's favourite ever is the Chopped Nut. I paid for unlimited shipping for a year as it worked out so well and now send all my gifts from there with next day delivery.
If you want to go fancy, of course there's Hotel Chocolat for their super thick eggs, filled with scrumptious luxury chocolates (not to mention their cute little character chocolates including eggs and lambs which are almost too pretty to eat).
You've also got the likes of Pierre Marcolini who always do special seasonal additions for Easter. I am in love with their cute little bunnies, their chocolate is like art work.
For vegan friendly, less sugar chocolate, my favourite Swiss chocolatier is Rhythm108 and code EMS20 gets you discount. They always have fun Easter treats and you would not know they were less sugar or vegan - the perfect gift for anyone with dietary requirements and SO yummy... plus they do great gift packages too.
Easter Gift Foodie Hamper - £25 with some yummy goodies inside, plus very well priced and Cartwright & Butler are a Yorkshire business so I love their products hehe. For a more luxurious hamper, try the selection of foodie Easter hampers online here - many include cocktails or champagne too. You could always make your own Easter hamper too, I do this for Matt, including his fave Hotel Chocolat, Cadbury and more. For Mother's Day I made my Mum a hamper from Daylesford and of course, I had to include some luxury hot cross bun goodies too. I'm tempted to buy this bunny hamper to put all my gifts in and then use it as a laundry hamper after - it is so cute.
Beauty Pamper / Wellbeing Hamper - If you prefer a beauty hamper rather than chocolate, The White Company do some lovely gift sets and so many glorious spring scents. I also feel like the Molton Brown LTD Orange & Bergamot scent and bottle is the perfect Easter gift.
Homeware - I think homeware in general is a lovely gift, I don't know why but I see spring as a lovely chance to buy homeware too, I love this chunky heart pillow in the sale as a gift. I am a sucker for these bunny egg cup covers they'd be perfect in my new kitchen! You've even got things like this Easter bunny dish... or wait for it, the worlds cutest bunny storage basket!!!
Cupcakes - If you can't see your loved ones to bake Easter treats for them this year {I'm a sucker for Easter nest cakes}, you could always send some via delivery instead. I sent my Mum some gorgeous Mother's Day cupcakes and they have a selection of Easter ones with next day delivery too online here. She said they were delicious.
The Savvy Baker Brownies - Nationwide, Leeds based - She's in every gift guide for a reason; slutty delicious postal brownies! My lovely friend and fellow Yorkshire girl / small business, Savvy Baker does postal orders for the loveliest brownies if you're wanting to send something just as sweet as they are! For slutty addictive brownies, fingers on the buzzer, they go live every Saturday and always sell out, I'm sure she will have some Easter specials up her sleeve: The Savvy Baker.
That Cake and That Pantry - I also found a lovely small business on Instagram and they sell incredible NYC cookies, brownies, sweets, dessert trios and more, I cannot wait to order from them!
The Good News Baker - I can't talk about brownies and not talk about another one of my favourite lovely small business to support - female owned, incredible business, most beautiful packaging, I just love buying brownies from The Good News Baker as gifts (they do vegan ones too) - the loveliest, premium brownies, so beautifully packaged too... the Easter collection is unbelievably cute!
Personalised Cookies - Nationwide - I love anything personalised and I have been buying personalised goodies from small businesses to send this love. I discovered gorgeous business Biscuit Bunny Bakes and I love the idea of sending people a little letterbox, personalised biscuit pick me up... basically a biscuit card! I'm sure you could find egg shaped ones too. If someone doesn't want Easter eggs, maybe try this instead?! Etsy sell so many amazing cards and personalised bakes. I also do love Biscuiteers and I found this gorgeous set of bunny biscuits in a gorgeous keepsake tin.
