La Roche Posay Anthelios Invisible Anti-Shine Mist SPF Suncream Review

After my review of the Clinique Even Better Clinical Serum Foundation blog post I thought it was time to up my game and start writing some singular reviews of my life-long, holy grail, favourite beauty products so you have them to refer back to. There are so many beauty products I go back to, again and again and they deserve their own review. Sometimes you just have to keep it simple and these singular reviews will hopefully tell you everything you need to know about products that have genuinely been in my life for years and never left. We've had some very welcome and sunny spells in England over the last few weeks *followed by rain, of course* and I found myself grabbing my favourite SPFS... I then thought it was the perfect excuse to talk about an SPF which has been in my life for years: La Roche Posay Anthelios Invisible Anti-Shine Face Mist. It makes protecting yourself SO easy. So what makes La Roche Posay Anthelios Invisible Anti-Shine Face Mist so special? Firstly, I actually use this for touch ups on my whole body when I'm out and about, for me this product is actually more about using on the go, throwing in my handbag and having on hand for my shoulders / scalp / ears, as I will have usually put some hardcore SPF 50 all over face and body before leaving the house (looking at you Skinceuticals Advanced Brightening UV Defense SPF 50 / Kiehl's Ultra Light Daily UV Defense SPF50)

It was only a few days ago I was telling my friends they need to buy it if they haven't already, as we sat around a table at the Cotswolds and they were fighting over an old school sun cream stick and rubbing it on their shoulders, with white patches that take ages to rub in. It's a lot of hard work in comparison to a quick, invisible spray.

Gone are the days of hard to rub in, sun creams that ruin all your clothes, I'm such a sucker for invisible ones. I do see the appeal of the whiter sun creams though because you can see where you're putting it and I do still use them to start my day off but if you're looking for a handbag friendly suncream, or an SPF that is good for on the go, then this baby is perfect. La Roche Posay Anthelios Invisible Anti-Shine Face Mist is small enough so it will fit in your handbag / backpack / pocket meaning there's no excuse to not top up throughout the day or to be caught without SPF.

Hard to reach areas always getting burnt? La Roche Posay Anthelios Invisible Anti-Shine Mist is perfect for hard to reach areas like my ears, my back and mainly, my scalp. I always get a burnt scalp, it's just a part of my body I never protect with sun cream and invisible sprays seem to be the only thing that doesn't make my hair greasy but protect my scalp from the sun. A nice big spray and I know my scalp is protected.

My boyfriend and I were in the city the other day and it was incredibly hot, we both needed a top up so quickly grabbed this out of my handbag, sprayed our legs and within seconds it was dry and we were good to know, knowing we were protected with SPF 50. I also feel like it's almost cooling too when you spray it.

I find that La Roche Posay offers full protection without making my skin break out, it's gentle on the skin but super powerful against the sun. It feels lightweight, breathable and can be sprayed over make up too. La Roche Posay Anthelios is actually designed for oily / spot prone / sensitive skin which puts my mind at rest as it generally means it wont break me out.

There are of course other versions of invisible SPFs and so many good ones on the market, I also recommend Garnier's Super UV protection mist with hyaluronic acid, perfect to spray over make up too on hot days and SO affordable too.
