BEAUTY: I love beauty gifts almost as much as food gifts, you can either top someone up on their all time favourites or, treat them to something they've always wanted.
LUXURY SKINCARE: Some luxury beauty gifts are so special they should only be delivered by Santa! Here are some of my top picks: Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Oil the perfect pre-sleep botanical oil to restore the skin, it helps me sleep and makes my skin glow - winner winner, L'Occitane Overnight Reset serum - a wonder serum and the stats speak for themselves, they sell so many every single minute, this is my Auntie / Grandma's DREAM {my Mum is obsessed with L'Occitane - you truly cannot go wrong with anything from them} - Elemis Cleansing Balm - the lazy girls answer to glowing skin, melt it all over your face, just the best product for quickly and efficiently removing all make up! - Or, for a more affordable but equally good cleansing balm, get Take The Day Off by Clinique, I am hooked, it removes even eye make up and is just a cult favourite - Skin Ceuticals H.A Powerful Corrective Intensifier - If I could have one product and it never run out then it would be this, a truly luxurious, powerful product and one of the best skincare brands out there, it's an influencer favourite too and everyone who swears by this has THE most glowing skin, not forgetting the Skin Ceuticals Retinol which is just a dream of a product for anti-ageing - If you're into natural products, I've always been a sucker for Decleor, their products just smell amazing and feel like a true spa experience - if you're stuck on beauty gifts and don't know what to buy someone, always go with something from the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream range, I don't know anyone who doesn't love the brand! They really are magic - Anyone who's into skincare will tell you how good the Elizabeth Arden Vitamin C Capsules and Retinol Capsules, alongside the Arden Eight Hour Cream (multi-tasking genius product which is epic for lips, sun burn and everything in between! My Grandma loves it, oh and my boyfriend too)
For the gift that keeps giving, support independent beauty brand
RoccaBox with a monthly subscription box of beauty goodies, the gift that keeps giving and someone can trial new beauty products every month from gorgeous brands! Plus lots of my favourites are inside.
As you can see above, so many of my favourite brands do epic gift sets in the run up to Christmas, meaning you can get more product for less money, don't forget bumper skincare gift sets like the More Than Moisture Gift Set - £44.00 RRP | WORTH OVER £69 - The perfect gift for your boss, your bestie, your Momma, aunt and honestly, even your brother. When I tell you everyone I speak to raves about the Clinique More Than Moisture range, I'm not lying! It's perfect for someone who loves to travel or maybe is always in air conditioned offices / spaces as it literally transforms the moisture in your skin. The More Than Moisture Gift Set is basically something that works for everyone, tired, dehydrated or dull skin - this is a great gift set. You can get a smaller version gift set for only £25 here too if you prefer.
CANDLES / PAMPER GIFTS: I am truly obsessed with candles, diffusers and anything for the home. I think if you are really struggling for a gift, I don't know anyone who wouldn't love something beautifully scented for their home. My favourites: Jo Malone (and online here too) are just out of this world and a dream for me is a home full of Jo Malone, a goal of mine is to own a HUGE Jo Malone 600g home candle) - of course, don't forget Diptyque too, one of the leading luxurious candle brands I LOVE their carousel candle, it's very special. Of course, my favourites at Molton Brown - they always do an amazing Christmas range - their sets are luxurious but great value. Every year I buy my Mum Molton Brown handwash - it's a useful yet luxurious gift and honestly, buying a luxury hand wash set is always my go to, particularly in current times: make hand washing sexy! I have too many favourite Molton Brown scents? Oudh Accord with it little pieces of gold and The Molton Brown Coco and Sandalwood are my forever favourites if you needed some inspo. For a luxe homeware gift, get a Byredo gift, I found them at Space NK and their aesthetic is such a dream. Last but not least, I am OBSESSED with the Space NK Shimmering range for Christmas, it smells like actual festive heaven.
FRAGRANCE: Fragrance is a tough one as it's definitely something to gift but people have very specific tastes. If in doubt, I would always play it safe with Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir {Pomegranate Noir here too} or Flowerbomb by Viktor and Rolf (and gift set here) the most magical Christmas brand I have adored for years. For something a little sexier, I love Tuberose Angelica. A scent I never want to run out of is Armani Si (and gift set here), the perfect date night fragrance. My auntie absolutely adores the Verbena range from L'Occitane - it's uplifting and truly divine.
For a unisex scent, don't forget All Saints fragrance (personal favourite is Sunset Riot) they do amazing gift sets and oh my goodness, dreamy candles to match too - I have never smelt such gorgeous scents for the home. Of course, don't forget Juicy Couture, it's such a fun, vibrant brand and my friends and I have grown up juicy girls! Remember, you can save lots of money by buying fragrance gift sets rather than singular fragrances (the best fragrance gift sets online here, here and here).
PRACTICAL BEAUTY HAMPER: My Mama is the queen of hampers and I love her practical hampers, it would include things someone actually needs like toilet roll, toothpaste, deodorant, Batiste dry shampoo and sometimes she would throw in some luxe faves like Redken and Pureology. It's a thoughtful gift! My Nanna always gifts me things like shower gels so I never run out and I think it's so special and thoughtful. The wicker hamper can then be used for storage after.
HOME GIFTS: As a new home owner, I am so excited about home gifts this year and at the top of this page you will see I already linked some favourites. I would love Santa to get me the Alessi White Toaster or some Soho Home glasses - I just love everything they sell. I may have asked Santa for an Ooni Pizza Oven and here - hello who doesn't want to be hosting pizza parties? Apparently you can cook everything in them, anything that goes into an oven can go into it!
If someone needs a new mattress, I LOVE my Emma Mattress, my promo code ShelSleeps currently gets you an extra 6% off the 50% sale!
For me, Anthropologie wins every single year, whether it's the personalised glass, Gold floral wine glass and Bon Appetite cheese board will make the most gorgeous gifts. It's great because you don't need to buy loads of things from Anthropologie, just one piece is so special. H&M Home is also great for scandal inspired decor. I truly love little home things too like
Jo Malone soap or a Molton Brown handwash and hand lotion duo make great home gifts too. Another fave home gift,
Slip Silk - I LOVE their silk pillow cases and eye masks. Don't forget bed linen, I love Christy, I have some gorgeous items from them - my amazing towels and an amazing duvet - who doesn't want a plush luxurious duvet? I also love Bedfolk, an up-and-coming luxury ‘Wind Down’ brand selling luxury bedding & Plush Towels & Robes Collection. I vouch for them because their products are divine. JEWELLERY: Jewellery is such a special, forever gift. If you're going super luxe, it would be a dream to own something from Cartier. For more affordable jewellery gifts, Missoma do the most beautiful gold pieces, Monica Vinader do the most spectacular engraved pieces and EM20 gets you discount at Monica Vinader and of course, Tiffany for dreamy heart shaped jewellery, for cute bee shaped jewellery, try Ivy Rose - I just adore their bee necklace.... my friend also owns Arlo London if you're looking for an independent brand and unisex jewellery.
LUXURY GIFTS:
SELFRIDGES - If in doubt, I browse Selfridges website for luxury gifts!
Burberry Scarf - My favourite forever piece in my wardrobe, a great intro to designer item without breaking the bank but great and unisex too / All Saints Jacket - A great forever wardrobe piece, looks divine with pretty much every outfit and just gets better with time every time I wear it / Gucci loafers - I am in love with all my Gucci shoes, just one of my favourite brands for accessories, now I fancy some in black haha / Gucci belt - You might think it's overdone but I just love a Gucci belt I'd actually love one of the thinner ones or newer styles to add to my collection, they just keep getting better / Gucci bag - I totally hammered my Gucci Marmont bag into the ground, I am not a designer investor I am someone who uses and loves them, Gucci bags are timeless but if you are wanting something truly timeless, I have always loved the Gucci Soho too it's an absolute classic. FITNESS:
Sweaty Betty base layers I recommend them every year, amazing for ski trips, walking the dog or just cold weather in general. They are so comfy, warm and flattering.
I personally think buying someone gym classes, personal training sessions or a even gym membership is such a good gif ideat. I've been a member of David Lloyd for years now {I go to Harbour Club Kensington and swear by the Blaze Classes or David Lloyd Leeds when home} and it is the best for classes, Blaze is the best class ever truly! My whole family are members and it's great because you can use any David Lloyd, it doubles up as an office too as they have great spaces to work from and strong wifi {and coffee!}. My Mum has bought me personal training sessions at David Lloyd a few years ago and it truly was the gift that kept giving. I will be buying Matt golf lessons for Christmas so you could think outside the box and buy someone dance classes, Blaze classes, golf lessons, tennis lessons for example.
VOUCHER: There are so many vouchers you can buy that will mean a lot to someone, how about nail vouchers, I love buying my Mum a voucher to visit my favourite salon RagDoll Nails, or I treat her to blow dries at Sassoon Leeds, her favourite salon. In London I love Blush Blow Parsons Green, they sell vouchers where you can buy say 5 blow dries in a pack, wouldn't that be the dream gift? I also think something like a cooking or baking class at Betty's would be a phenomenal gift {Betty's is my absolute favourite Yorkshire tearoom}. You could also buy someone some wellbeing like like a m
assage or facial voucher - I adore the Elemis townhouse for massages and facials. I also have the most amazing SkinCeuticals facial at The Rosewood at Face Place. I think a gift like this is so much more than money can buy, you are giving someone the gift of calm, serenity and pampering. Who doesn't want to be pampered?
EXPERIENCE: Similar to the above but often I'll buy an experience like a luxury hotel stay or a trip somewhere rather than spending £1000 on gifts, then we make forever memories. It could be afternoon tea, a boat trip, a weekend away in a cottage. I got my family a stay with Sykes Cottages, we hired the dreamiest house in the Cotswolds and then for Christmas I printed out the confirmation email with the dates, it was such a wonderful trip for everyone and such a lovely gift, one we wont ever forget.
PHOTOBOOK: I made my Grandparents and step-Dad a photobook of memories - it's simple but so thoughtful. You could make someone a scrap book or you could make a travel diaries book or just put all your favourite photos together in a book. You could always put it together with an Instax camera and then you can capture more memories together too on a future trip.
SNUGGLY ITEMS: I am a sucker for anything cosy! I love things like a Knitted cardigan, Desmond and Dempsey pyjamas, Skims by Kim Kardashian, a hot water bottle cover, UGG slippers, these fluffy slippers or this fluffy eye mask - if you want a cheaper version of UGG slippers then check out these ones. I LOVE these super fluffy slippers and on Prime delivery too! Or how about this luxurious heated sheepskin style throw?! I just don't think you can go wrong with cosy items.
My mind is BURSTING with amazing gift ideas, I could go on forever and ever, you can find more below!
Lots of love, Em x
