I went to the launch of Rihanna’s Fenty beauty brand several years ago in Harvey Nichols Leeds and remember thinking how cool it is that one of my all time favourite women now has her own Beauty brand. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Rihanna is one of the coolest / hardest working / most inspiring women of our lifetime. Rihanna is a singer, songwriter, actress, fashion designer and business owner {plus mother to be!} - I mean, what's not to admire? Fenty Beauty blew every one away from the get go and the addition of Fenty skincare really has got people talking. I adore everything within Rhianna's empire, from her lipstick collection {I swear by Fenty lipsticks and glosses} through to her music. What I love even more is the fact that Rihanna is just every bit as passionate about Fenty as she is her music career. You can see just how much love and genuine passion goes into this brand, it shows because every single Fenty product is incredible.
Fenty Skin by Rihanna has now launched Fenty Skin Cookies N Clean Whipped Clay Detox Face Mask and I wanted to review the mask today.

The Fenty Skin Cookies N Clean Whipped Clay Detox Face Mask is a deeply detoxifying, fragrance-free whipped clay mask that tightens pores and reduces excess oil and shine. I am here for things that are fragrance free as it means it isn't going to irritate my skin. On initial look, you may be a little scared that a scrub like Cookies N Clean could strip the skin, but actually quite the opposite!
This is an indulgent mask and has clay to disolve dirt and oil, charcoal beads to act as a detoxifer and salicylic acid which clarifies pores and it is suitable for all skin types including those with sensitive skin. It kind of reminds me of being inside a mud/bath spa, but you get the experience at home. I'm not gonna lie, I absolutely love clay masks, they go hard on my skin so I feel like they are genuinely doing something and getting rid of the yuck but then when you wash this off, you're left with soft, smooth skin. A great thing to note is that Fenty Cookies N Clean is noncomedogenic (in other words it will not clog pores) and it is vegan and wheat and gluten-free which I think is fantastic!
I’ve tried out the Fenty Cookies N Clean over 2 weeks {I would suggest using it weekly, or even fortnightly is perfect as it is great for a mega clean / detox}. I can confirm that it leaves pores feeling super clean and fresh. Although it’s rich in ingredients, it doesn't feel rich / heavy on the skin, quite the opposite. You can really go wild and layer this up, or just put a small layer on. I love that it doubles up as a scrub whilst you are putting it on the skin too as you massage it in. It rubs in beautifully and despite the clean tight feeling, I do not feel that my skin has dried out in anyway when I’ve used it which could be in part down to the fact that this lovely product includes rhubarb and ginger extracts that condition and soothe skin. This is one of the only clay masks I have ever used that doesn't feel too heavy and too much, it feels as if it's detoxing the skin and giving a deep clean, without stripping / making my skin tight. Mission accomplished Rihanna!
If you are wondering if Rihanna's beauty and skincare range is worth it, Fenty beauty is absolutely worth it and is an exceptional brand.
Fenty Skin Cookies N Clean Whipped Clay Detox Face Mask was launched on 4th May in Boots (Boots.com) and Harvey Nichols and is £25.
Lots of love, Em x
